Dakota

Dakota ascended uphill until she looked over the territory from her cliff. "Attention Sombra Cazadores!" She exclaimed loudly. ",B>Now is the time that you decide what you are. You can have one of six positions. Some of you have already chosen your position. I will give out orders when you all are ready for them." She paused, to let them take in what they just heard. "You know yourself far better than I do. Therefore, you chose your own position. You may change it at any time if you feel that a different position is more suitable for you."

"The first position is Stealth Hunter. They hide from their prey and ambush at just the right time. Every way of hunting requires perfect timing. Stealth Hunters hunt alone or in small groups."

"Pack Hunter is next. These ones hunt in groups, outnumbering their prey or surrounding it. You must be comfortable with working along with others if you are to choose this position."

"The third is Tactical Hunter. Rather than using strength or stealth to bring down their prey, they use elaborate plans. They are usually in charge of making the plans for carrying out an attack. They can attack as well, but needn't rely on strength or stealth nearly as much as the other hunters."

"The fourth is Hidden Hunter. These hunters make their prey trust them. They hide within a herd of deer, for example, and attack once they prey fully trusts them."

"The fifth is the very important Spy. Can you imagine hunting an animal you know nothing about? That's where the Spies come in. They get information about the prey they are attacking and bring it back to the hunters. The information they might gather is number of individuals, behavior, and more. It is best if Spies are stealthy, blend in with their prey, or do not seem threatening."

"Last but most certainly not least is the Healer. Chances are that we will all be injured sometime during a hunt, and the Healers will be there for us. They use methods to effectively heal the wounded. While they rarely see battle, they are a crucial part of any pack."

She waited, letting them have a moment to think. "Just so it is all clear who is who, I must ask you all to go to a certain location for a short time.
Stealth Hunters go below the cliff that I am on.
Pack Hunters go by that boulder.
Tactical Hunters go by the waterfall.
Hidden Hunters go by that thicket of bushes.
Spies go by the oak tree to my right.
Healers go by the cottonwood tree to my left.
" She nodded to each place as she spoke. "Again, once everyone is ready, you will be given orders."

Vintosa & Xutain

The sisters listened to the announcement, little ears twitching now and then. They found it all fascinating, and were quite eager in meeting the rest of the pack.

As instructed, the two feral pigs headed towards the cottonwood tree, sitting down next the the great furrowed trunk.

Dakota/Austin/Kiki/Tomcat/Hal/Others

Austin padded to the waterfall and sat down.
Kiki went to the thicket of bushes.
Tomcat sat next to Austin by the waterfall.
Hal bounded to the boulder.
The three birds, Kaisho, Aakesh and Achira, flew into the oak tree.

Suddenly, a javelina raced to the ridges, chomping his tusks together. He walked up the side of the cliff to his alpha. "Dakota! Dakota!" He exclaimed frantically. "I think I might have an idea on where to hunt first. I wandered onto a human's property earlier today. I saw a few cows there. The human seems to be very dangerous, but perhaps one of us could distract him. There's a cat there too." He looked up at the large cat, swishing his tail. Dakota looked down at the javelina. ",B>We will go, but not just yet. Please take your place. Have you heard the announcement yet?" Montezuma nodded. "I'm sure the whole Valley heard!" He laughed before taking his place by the boulder.

Adulthi

As the group began to take their places, another creature arrived. Padding quietly through the brush came Adulthi. Her build was of pure Snow Leopard heritage, but her coloring was hinted with tan, and her rosettes were sparse. Her father the cougar, Namir.

Having found no 'pack' of her own yet, Adulthi was more than interested in taking part in this meeting. Head down, she made her way to the cliff designated for the Stealth Hunters. Sitting herself, she looked up to Dakota, "If it alright with you, I would like to join your party. My name is Adulthi, daughter of Tolacca and Namir.

Dakota

Dakota looked down at Adulthi. "Very well. The more the merrier." Was her simple reply. She glanced over the entire area. "If any of you want more time to decide your position, that is fine. You can have all the time you want." With that, she walked down from her perch and greeted the new feline. "We are about to go on a hunt, if yo would like to join us." Then she looked at Kaisho. "I need to ask for a favor from you." She said to the bird. "Go to the house that Montezuma found and see what we're up against."

Montezuma smiled. "It's at the base of the mountains, just that way." He said, pointing with his snout. Kaisho nodded and flew away.

Dakota looked back at her packmates. "This will be good training for us. You must understand that a hunt can only be successful if we work together with others in our group. This may be a case where we should hunt in a group."
