Deniki
The wolf dog stepped into the area he presumed was the Breve Ridges. His honey-rich eyes searched around him, taking it all in. He could feel a tingling sensation in his bones, as he sniffed the air wildly. He could smell all kinds of things, from trees to grass and dirt. He could also smell other animals, and it made him step up his guard.
Finding a lone ridge, he stood upon it with a proud and tall stance. His banner hung low behind him, but his head was as high as it could go, eyes looking up into the poofy clouds.
Robin Hood
Robin Hood walked up behind him "I have called for him, he will be here soon enough" he said, coming to stand next to him.
Deniki
Deniki, still being quite carefree and calm, turned his head at the sound of soft pawfalls behind him. His auds flickering, he studdied the wolf once again. He gave a small nod then, listening to the other's words. "Called?" he asked lightly, raising a brow. This place was just full of surprises. But he soon took a seat on the ridge, and looked out across the land once again. He had no problem with waiting.
Robin Hood
"by called I mean howled" Robin Hood said, performing his pack removal ritual, and then sitting next to him.
Deniki
Deniki gave off a light sigh, taking in the unmistakable beauty of the land. However, he knew it would soon grow old, but someday, this place would really become a part of him. At this, he looked forward to.
Giving his banner a light thud against the hard ground, he tilted his head a bit, still looking out. "How long?" he then asked suddenly, hoping to not sound rude. He wasn't exactly crazy about meeting a strange human face to face as he had before in his last home and other places. He was interested, though, in some way. Patience was beginning to slowly wear thin.
Robin (hood)
"Robin Hood! Here boy" came a sudden call from not far off. Robin came running over to Robin Hood "hey boy," he cood, scratching behind Robin Hoods ears "who's your friend?" he asked as he looked to Deniki, his eyes were soft, caring and understanding. He looked back at Robin Hood "let me take your pack from you, I trust you got my supplies" he picked the pack up taking a bow and a large quiver and setting them behind him.
Deniki
Deniki continued to look out at the scenery, enjoying every bit of it. Yet then again, he wondered how life would be out here. It seemed awfully quiet, apart from the more active towns. He could manage, though. He'de learn-- he learned to live with just himself and no one else there to accompany him.
Suddenly, Deniki's head turned again, but this time to see a human. Must be him... he thought silently to himself, auds pricking and taking in the sounds of the two-legged. They talked in such strange ways, making noises and all that, especially the younger ones. It was weird.
Now he had his entire body facing the human, standing firmly on his paws. "It's interesting, to say the least," he stated, tilting his head to the side just a bit. He had alwats tilted his head before, it was almost like a habit, one he preferred to keep around. It made him more lively. So now he simply stood there, eyes locked easily on the human, though calm and fearless.
Robin
Robin held out his hand to Deniki "It's ok boy, don't be afraid" he said, reasurinlgy. Robin looked into Deniki's eyes they were calm and fearless. "I wanna be your friend
Deniki
Deniki was a bit unsure at first, but only by that much. A hidden brow lifting, he sniffed the air harshly as the human held out his hand. Even then, Deniki held back, though he truely wasn't moved and not at all fearful of the human. Why should he be, anyway? But that wasn't the point here. So then, he reached out with his neck and sniffed a bit at the hand, and pulled back again, finished. Now he knew this human's scent.
He was about to speak again, but kept his mouth shut. Hus auds pricked, he studdied Rogin's feature's with wary and trained eyes. He had known a few humans himself.
Robin Hood
"why are you so standoffish friend?" Robin Hood asked, he cocked his head to the right a bit. "do not think of him as a human think of Robin as one of us, for he lives as one of us and he almost completly understands our ways"
Deniki
Deniki was perfectly fine, staring up at the human with those caramel eyes of his. His banner gave a simple flick at the tip as he sat there, the wind ruffling up his varying brown fur. This was an unusual human, using some different words than from what he had heard from the two-leggeds before. It was... Strange. Then the wolf's words reached his auds. "Wha? But he's no human, he couldn't be the same," he began saying, but refrained from speaking any further. It's not equal, he then thought silently, a bit startled.
Robin Hood
"What do you mean? ....why did you stop?" Robin Hood asked. "he is even learning how to speak in a way for us to understand, I understand him because he and I have always known each other and have established a working language between each other," he said, looking admiringly at Robin.
Deniki
Despite this wolf's 'efforts,' Deniki had his doubts, and they seemed proving at the moment. He couldn't understand a word the human was saying, if he could even call them words. Humans would always be humans in Deniki's mind, for they could never learn to communicate. Or so it's what Deniki thought, and he was ready to stand by it for as long until he was proved wrong. However, he kept these thoughts hidden and to himself. It was something he never thought of, but it sounded highly unlikely to him. That was just Deniki, though, having lived among them all his life.
"Nothing," he quickly replied, "I was just saying, humans and animals don't seem the same,"
Because they aren't, as a matter of fact... he then thought, giving a light, easy sigh. Some humans were nice, others, not so great. He had learned that from sheer experience. Some didn't care about animals at all, that he knew as well.
Robin Hood
Robin Hood could sense his doubt. He pulled back his lips in a small growl "why do you not trust him, let alone me?" he asked, his soft protecting voice had turned to a harsh, rasping growl "we bring you into our home, give you our food. And we brought you to where we live we have never done that for anyone before" he was now in Deniki's face, nose to nose. His good natured temper was wearing thin, this was not normal at all he never ever got mad "I trusted you. I tried to befriend you and yet you do not trust Robin" his voice getting worse with every word, his eyes had dilated to almost the point where you could see them no more. "I will give you one more chance, we are trying to help you, we would never harm any other creature unless we were hunting for food to keep us alive"
Deniki
Deniki's own eyes flared up at the wolf's words, and with him getting in his face, he snapped those razor-sharp fangs straight in front of Rabin Hood's face. "It is yourself that made up those thoughts in your own head! He's a human, they don't live in the wild, that's how it goes for me. You can't just respect my point of view?" he growled back, ready for whatever would come next. Deniki had a harsh temper when he wanted it to be, and while he was usually laid back, this wolf had gone too far. Robin had accused him of something he never did, and Deniki didn't appreciate that. Not one little bit. If he didn't trust anyone he wouldn't be here.
Robin
Robin turned to see Robin Hood in Deniki's face, eyes dilated. "No!" he shouted "Robin Hood no" he rushed over to him and grabbed him by the ruff with one hand and wrapped his hand around his neck to keep him back "snap out of it buddy, I know your in there somewhere, come on come back to me" he said softly into Robin Hood's ears
Deniki
Then the wolf was pulled away, and Deniki felt a flush of adrenaline race through him. However, he simply stood there, body ridged and tense. Nobody had simply gotten in his face like that before, surely not without something happening. Lucky this human was here, to say the least. Great, now he was feeling all wound up, over nothing on his part.
Robin Hood
Robin Hood snarled and slashed out trying to break free of Robin's strong grass. "release me" he said, his eyes had now completly dilated.
Robin
Robin held tightly, "come back boy, come back, I know you can overpower this, come on...snap out of it" he said into his ear over and over agian. He looked again up at Deniki "I am so sorry, please do not be mad at Robin Hood he does not know where he is right now, this is not him I say once more," he turned his head back to the writhing Robin Hood "please come back Robin Hood" he whispred almost to himself.
Deniki
Deniki had a determined look on his face, shooting the wolf a set of glaring eyes. He stood his ground, refusing to move, and doing quite the job of it.
"Oh, stop fussing! I never said a thing," he growled back lightly, his auds somewhat against his skull. The fur along his spine stuck up like a porcupine's quils, as he watched the human try to calm the wolf. This didn't make any sense.
Robin
Robin stared at Deniki "why are you mad?" he asked Deniki "do you not trust us?" he asked gently, still keeping a firm hold on Robin Hood.
Deniki
Deniki was just about ignoring the human, for his attention was all on the wolf ahead of him. "Then perhaps I should leave," he stated with a gruff snort, flicking the very tip of his tail. He didn't like this wolf's actions toward him. So the human may be alright, but this wolf? Deniki wasn't enjoying his company so much anymore. It was annoying.
Robin Hood
Robin Hood suddenly stopped moving, his chest heaved and his head lolled but other than that he was back to normal, eyes and all. "Robin?" he said when he found himself looking into his human's face.
Deniki
Deniki snorted once again as the wolf calmed, but he was still a bit on edge. Wary and cautious, he allowed his muscles to loosen so he stood there more casual-like, though you could still tell it was bothering him.
With a deep sigh, both relieved and irritated, he finally took another seat upon his haunches. Maybe this wolf wouldn't be so hasty to react towards him again, for doing absolutely no such thing. "Are you in there?" he suddenly asked, auds flickering back to normal position once more. When he said that, he meant if Robin was still 'concious,' in a way.
Robin
Robin looked at the expression on Deniki's face. "don't worry he is always like this after his ...spells....he should be fine in a bit"...."although this spell lasted much longer than usual" he said under his breath rather worriedly. he picked the limp Robin Hood up in his arms. And walked past Deniki, putting one reasuring hand on the dog's head, more to reasure himself then the dog, "come on Denkiki, I will take you to out campgrounds and give you your bed and food for the night" he called back.
Deniki
This human was beginning to make Deniki feel a little out of place. However it could seem like the human could read him, he couldn't understand the human. That was just... Weird right there.
Watching the two-legged with now inquisitive eyes, his auds flickered forward and back as the human passed him, placing a hand on his head. He slightly lowered at that, but then his head popped back upright as he stood and turned to follow. He didn't know why, but he felt that was what he was sopposedly 'sopposed' to do, although he didn't know where they were headed. Must be the whole home ordeal from earlier.
