Bagre & Quain

The two wolves, uncle and nephew, sat side-by-side on a low mound, gazing out at the dusty, desolate land. Bagre's sister, Quain's mother, was dead. The territory was overtaken by some human with cunning, cruel ways.

"We need a pack." Quain said after a long moment of silence.

Bagre, still looking ahead at nothing in particular, nodded slowly, "You're right." Becoming more animated, the large wolf pursed his muzzle and howled loudly, hoping to catch the attention of any lone wolves. To aid his uncle, Quain sent out his own howl, harmonizing with Bagre's deep baratone voice.

Jais

Once more, his hope for Dark Star and the others was fading. The pack was gone, and he needed a new one. Although he'd never forget about Tri-Tundra, he had to move on with his life until, perhaps someday, they might meet again. Hearing the howls, the white wolf paused and threw forth his own calling. Then he altered his course and headed for the duo. After passing by a series of mounds and avoiding broiling hot pools, Jais came across the pair seated high on the perch. "If you're seeking to start a pack, I would gladly join. I'm Jais."

Bagre & Quain

Bagre descended from the dome, followed closely by Quain. "I'm Bagre, and this is my nephew, Quain. We appriciate your offer. However, we still need to find a terra to claim. Do you by chance know of any? I'm sure three bachelors can take over a land easy enough." Bagre replied with a bit of a smirk.

Quain stood slightly to the side of his large uncle, looking over Jais. It would be nice to be in a pack again.

Jais

"Good to meet you." The wolf replied, keeping his head raised just slightly, but not in a dominant manner. His tail was low and held passive, "There is a land to the southeast that seems to be vacant. The Ocean Breeze Forest. It's rather treacherous... I s'pose that's why it's vacant now. But, I think it could work." Jais added, ready to be in a pack.

Bagre & Quain

Bagre thought about the offer, but he didn't know of this place. Still, if it were a free land, he'd be happy to check it out. A treacherous place... sounds exciting. "Can you show us where it is?"

Quain frowned slightly, "What do you mean by treacherous?" He was more than willing to go there, but after his mother's death, he was hesitant about things.
