Whisper

The huntress slowly drug in Aidan, the hybraid protecter of the humans. Normaly she would have killed him, but it had been Ankh who asked to try and lure others here. It would be far easier to kill away from the humans. And tough she would not have minded adding a few human atacks to her list, she had taken a liking to Ankh.

With a sudden boredom her jaws opened, dropping aidan without a care. However she stood over him, low growls slipping from her lips. She now waited Ankh.

Azhlin

Hybrid pup trotted into the place he had met Whisper, coming up in front of her without a word. She had spoken no word of dismissal, and so he followed her because he had nothing better to do. He figured that a decisive wolven such as Whisper would actively dismiss him when she felt it necessary, and so he simply sat down, harks perked for Ankh's approach.

Taijya

Huntress of raven hue had caught Whispers scent on the way to the Ranch. Her's along with Aidan. She was slightly curious of Aidans scent, for they had neevr carried a dead pet from the ranch before. However pistons took no time in carrying the maidan to Whisper, and only then did she recieve her answer. Her golden spheres fell upon the limp form, however the chest cavity moved, proving his breathing continued. "What is this? Has your skill to bring death failed you?" Her tones were spoken with an evil chuckle. Though Whisper was skilled, it was known that she set the line for a top wolf. She had bragging rights if anything, and so she chose to use them.

Ankh & Aidan

Ankh soon could be seen, trailing towards the group. He left off with his questions at Azlihn's reply, finding that it was best that no one questioned such things as the relations between him and Aidan. Glancing at his unconscious brother, the small canine looked to Taijya, "Eh, we aren't killing him. Not yet, anyhow." Ankh lowered his head almost shamefully, and felt compelled to explain this in fear of sounding loyal to some human pet, "My pack would certainly kill us, or leave our lives quite unpleasent. I'll deal with him when he wakes." Snorting a bit and glaring at Aidan, Ankh tried to change the subject, "It shouldn't be long before the others arrive. Then the real fun will begin."

Azhlin

Azhlin eyed the approachin raven-hued huntress with suspicion. He knew only Whisper, trusted only Whisper. However, seeing the way she moved he could tell that Taijya had a great amount of prowess, and so attacking her would only lead to his death, he was sure. So he kept silent, though his cursed blue eyes followed her every move, sizing her up. This was one he would have to watch out for.

Whisper

The silver dove looked up at the approaching pup, his presence becoming something customany now. She had not ordered him to follow, but she also did not release him. She had planed to keep him with her until this fight was over. Possibly he could distract one of the dogs with possibly a pups 'sweet' nature. It was not something Azhlin seemed to conatin, though he acted well.

In the middle of her thought she looked up with a sudden jerk, harks erect and nares twitching. "Taijya... you're quite cocky for one who but recently survived a close encounter. If I do recall correctly..." Her tones held a low hiss. She was nor friend or foe of the fae, simply a killing partner. She showed less respect then the average wolf would, for she knew this fae before she gained the status she now held.

Cold steel optics soon switched to Ankh, but just as quickly returned to Taijya. It was true she didn't show enough respect, but she was smart to keep the fae in view. Taijya wouldn't kill her... at least not yet. It was just in case something unwanted had followed her. Like humans...

Sunderbahn, Reverie, & Quake

Three canines had come across the scent of one ranch pet, whom they knew but did not interact with. The three were a feral bunch, obilgated to the Ranch because their father, Stallis, lived there. But they never strayed into the property; rather, they kept beyond the fences and engaged in the legendaries that tried to flee.

The trio advanced upon the scene, shoulder to shoulder, and step to step. Collie and coyote blood were very strong in them, and mixed with some other dog strains. There size was quite small; all below 90 pounds. Yet a life time of fighting left them keen and swift. Taking advantage of steam plumes and unneven ground, the coyodogs went in a wide semi-circle about the group, staying downwind.

Stealthy paws carried them silently along as they moved closer, flitting like shadows from object to object, trying to remain obscure from the legendaries. All they recognized, except for Azhlin. And though their large ears were pricked forward, they couldn't hear what was being said, so nothing was known of the pup's deceiving ways.

Sunderbahn, the largest of the siblings, crept as close as he dared. With a deft flick of his bushy tail, the lean hybrid sprung across the ground and charged towards Ankh. Reverie was up next, nimble legs carrying her lithely over the ground towards Whisper. And then Quake, taking his aim on Taijya. Each aimed for their foe's throat.

Taijya

The huntress could only show a toothy grin, a slightly laughter echoing until a feeling of uneasiness came over her. It was the sound of peds that they gave her reason to turn, eyes falling upon the coyote hybrid. With a quick muscle movement, she leapt from her spot, uninjured. A new smile now crept onto her features, yet this one held a wickedness to it. "Be gone! Less you fall victom to the fangs of legends. Ambers averted their view of Quake to Whisper for a moment, a flick of her harks given. They could take these small canines. If not kill them, then pain would be their master. With a skilled motion her pistons took long dangerous strides, muscles rippling beneath ehr pelt. Her wound was visble, fur still growing to cover it up. But never again would the huntress allow herself to get in that position.

Her pace around the hybrid continued, a low snarl starting to emerge. Ambers were locked onto the animal, glinting with her intentions. Her nares twitched as she paced, finally really getting a good wiff of his scent. It was familiar, hold the smell of a dog she had met but once before. He had prevented the slaughter of Timber, the only remaining child of Abigale and Rollin. With this new found knowledge her growl deepened, lips curling back as fangs snapped forward at him. She had yet to attack, and awaited the small one to show the skills of a coyote.

Whisper

Taijya's motion, though small, brought Whispers gaze to move from her, forward. It was this action that saved herself from a nasty grasp. With the small swiftness Taijya had displayed, the silver duchess leapt to the side, however she held no laughter. Her growls formed quickly, haunches raised as orbs of emotionless steel gleamed. "You shall regret the day you came here uninvited..." Her tones were low and dangerous, snarls continuing. Taijya's own conversation with ehr newly found friend brought her to a quick attack, not stalling like the raven dove. Instead her pistions took her at a run, leaping to the side of the coyote hybrid, before marking a sharp turn and using her hinds to spring back. Fores were extended to push the small creature to the earth. If this one was pinned, there would be no way for her to get away.

Azhlin

Azhlin eyed the incoming dogs, and thought quickly. His best advantage was always his seemingly innocent appearance, and so he staged a frightened yelp and backed away, scrubbing his hindquarters across the groun as he backed, whining. Adding to the image, knowing Whisper would not be fooled, he cried, Help Help! They've taken me! Help me! His blue eyes opened wide in terror and he crowded back as far as he could go, coming to the base of a ash dome with a thump, eyes always on the dogs searching for a vulnerability.

Ankh & Aidan

Alerted by Taijya and Whisper, as well as his own keen instincts brought about by a life of fighting, Ankh sprung nimbly to the side as fangs grasped through his thick mane of fur. Jerking his head back quickly, so that his foe came off with a tuft of ebony fur, the hybrid landed himself and hunched his lean head down. He was larger than Sunderbahn, but not by a termendous amount. One ear flicked to Azhlin, but Ankh hid his amuzement at the youngster's clever tactics.

"What have we here?" He snarled, eyeing the coyote mix intently, searching for a weakness. "Have the brave collies fallen asleep on the job?"

Laying nearby, Aidan stirred, twitching a paw as he did so. But he did not come to his senses yet, and was more or less out cold.

Sunderbahn, Reverie, & Quake

Quake narrowed his mustard hued eyes, giving himself ample space from the larger wolf. He knew, like his other two siblings, that getting trapped was certain death. They could not outmatch the wolves' strength. And already, one brother had fallen because he was not nimble enough, and that was not even during a fight, but a hunt. "You will all pay for what you've done! Destroying our father's family!" Quake snarled at Taijya. Like the wolf, he also needed to gage her skills in fighting. Moving lithely to the side, he plunged his small body forward and went to snap at her haunch before dashing back a few paces.

Reverie sprung from Whisper after realizing her target was not to be. Agility and speed was her saving grace, and it kept her out from under the wolf's paws this time. But her narrow, coyote-like head was aimed back as her narrow jaws snapped at the forelegs.

Sunderbahn snorted indignantly, spitting out the fur that he had accquired from the attack, "Enough of this folly talk." One ear was directed back at Azlihn, "Don't worry, we're here to help." He barked before mimicking what his brother had done with Taijya. Spring sharply to the left, the coyodog rushed forward and aimed to leave a gash across Ankh's flank.

Azhlin

Azhlin just barely saved himself from laughing, keeping the look of desperation and fear on his face. What fools to believe an innocent face. He let out a few more criesof, Help me! They're here to take me! and snarled within his mind. They would soon be taught their mistake. Waiting 'til Reverie's attention was fully focused on Whisper, he flung himself forward, bringing himself up under the offending coyote-mix much as he had done to Aidan only recently. Flipping over, he once again flailed claws and teeth at the underside, going for organs, but really anything that caused the creature pain and give Whisper time to dispatch it was ok.

Taijya

The muscular raven duchess kept lamps locked on the coyote mix. She knew how to detect attacks, and as soon as the coyote mix made a move, she stood ready in a tense position. His attack landed, but far from deep enough. Some ebon fur followed withhis fangs as he leapt away. The fae then took the liberty to attack. Pistons caried her the short distance to the animal, jaws snapping at the nape, peds ready to stretch out and pin the beast if she got the chance.

Kaida

Kaida barrelled into the battle. When Taijya hadn't come to the Ranch, she had followed the femme's scent here. Keeping silent as she came, muddy collie mix leapt for Taijya's opponent, going for a back of the neck shot. If the attack landed, she would grind her jaws together and attempt to sever the spinal cord, or at least cause temporary paralysis. If the attack didn't land, she would leap back and watch for a new opportunity.

Whisper, Fajebin

The steel duchess let a small yelp fall from her jaws as one of her peds is caught within the small jaws. Recovering frrom the surprise, a deep snarl enters the mix of noises, her strike aimed for the back of the coyotes neck. If she insisted on holding onto her target, then Whisper would give her reason to release.

Catching scent of Taijya and his sibling together could spell only one thing to the brute. A battle. Whisper was not one of converse, so only a fight could bring her to have scents mix with Taijya's. Fajebin took on a steady stride, a sly grin faling on his features as he looked over the current fights. The odds were in the favor of the wolf. Taking no more tiome survaying, he made his approach to the rear of coyote attached to Whisper. His jaws wideded before snapping at her hinds, hoping to catch hold anf break the bone without mucfh problem.

Sunderbahn, Reverie, & Quake

Quake dipped to the side, but his shorter legs didn't move him as quickly as the wolf's. Her teeth snagged onto the nape, and the coyodog instantly changed his tactics. Twisting about in his flexible hide, he tried to land his keen ivories along Taijya's face. As he was doing this however, another assailant hit him, and he could do nothing to move. Her bite came across his spine, but wasn't a dead-on hit. Still, one of the vertebrae was displaced, causing the hybrid to suddenly go limp in paralysis.

Reverie also found herself in dire straights. Azhlin had distracted her for just a moment, but it was a moment enough for Whisper to gain the upper paw. She was able to grab the back of the coyodog's neck, though Reverie's struggles left only skin and muscle between the wolf's jaws. As she struggled and snapped at Whisper, her little paws dashed madly at Azhlin. And then a third foe struck, taking a hold on her right leg. With an agonizing cry, Reverie felt her hip breaking against the powerful jaws.

Azhlin

Azhlin sustained a good bleeding scratch below his left eye as the fae above him struggled. Wincing as it cut to the bone, he retailiated by redoubling his efforts on her abdomen, sinking his teeth and claws deeper into her stomach, seeking those organ that would either kill her or make her unable to fight.

Kaida

Feeling her foe sink to the ground beneath her, Kaida reajusted her hold and dug her teeth in deeper, trying to sever the spinal cord. However, she was more concentrated on getting rid of other opponents, and so she quickly left off of that to leap upon Sunderbahn. She didn't know Ankh, but Ankh was a wolf and Sunderbahn a dog, and that settled it for her. Leaping for her opponent's rear legs, she tried for a leg, hoping to be able to snap the dog's thin bone sin her jaws.

Ankh, Skeil, Yersinia, & Aidan

Ankh sprung back, rearing up as he did so, and plunging his front limbs down towards Sunderbahn's muzzle, trying to force him to the ground. Powerful jaws struck for the back of the coyodog's neck...

A pure-white pit bull and and collie-like hybrid came padding towards the scene. The pit was in the lead, sniffing intently at the air as she went along. "Ankh!" She yipped suddenly, seeing her former pack mate. Springing forward on her short but strong limbs, the pit rushed frantically towards him. It was very obvious to her that Sunderbahn was the aggressor, and this other fae, Kaida, must be an ally of sort to Ankh. Without taking time to question, her jaws went directly for the coyote-mixes' throat.

Yersinia did not offer to attack however. Looking skeptically from her brother Ankh, she moved gracefully towards the bunch of fighters with the look of 'I could care less about what's going on here' in her prissy eyes. But all of a sudden her expression changed as she spotted her other brother, Aidan. "Aidan!" her yip rang out sharp and urgent as she rushed to the fallen hybrid.

Aidan stirred again, his face contorting in momentary pain, but his eyes didn't open yet. He was still more or less out.

Whisper, Fajebin, Taijya

Taijya held her grib, swining her dial about. For the most part she avoided the fangs, only a few grazes accompanied by blood drops appearing on her cheek. The lack in movement however brought her to stop. and only then did orbs gaze to look at Kaida. A sly smile fell over her fatures before jaws unlocked and she dropped the paralyzed form on the earth. The animal was a half breed, and wild at that. There was no gain for her if he was killed, so she left him for the elements, or anyone else wishing to kill to have. She cared not.

Whispers grasp stayed, dial shaking to rip and tear the muscle and cause as much pain as possible. However that could only do so much, so her jaws snapped about, rejusting to hopefully get a killing hold on the coyote.

Fajebin's jaws held strong, adding as much preasure as possible on the limb so he could snap it. His own crown thrashed, ripping anything and everything he had hold of. It had been a good while since a fight, and how glad he was to now have one.

Reverie, Quake, & Sunderbahn

Reverie yelped in agonizing pain as her muscles were torn into by Whisper and Azhlin. She was too damaged and too small to get herself out of this one. All of her wild spirit and experience did no good to the struggling creature as Whisper's jaws came down on her neck in a vital area. It was just a moment later when the little female struggled no more, her neck broken between deadly jaws. Two of the four siblings had fallen.

Sunderbahn was a touch more lethal and precise in his movements. His muzzle was swung hard to the side, getting a glancing blow from Ankh's paws. But it was still enough to cause the coyodog to stumble, allowing Ankh to grasp his ruff. And before he could properly pull himself away, a second assailant had arrived, announcing her appearance with an excrutiating bite to his hind limb. Being rather small as he was, he couldn't pull his entrapped limb away, and it was quickly broken. Snarling sharply at the succeeding pain, Sunderbahn began to thrash like a wild thing, throwing his curved fangs at Ankh's side and shoulder, ripping and goring what he could.

Quake lay helplessly on the ground, pawing feebling at the dusty earth with his front limbs, while his hinds lay useless and unresponsive.

Azhlin*Kaida

Husky hybrid leapt away from under the female just before she hit the ground, barely saving himself from being crushed to death. Bleeding from a bone-deep cut below his left eye, he nevertheless grinned at Whisper, heading for the last target still moving: Sunderbahn. Picking up speed, the pup launched himself for the older canine's face, digging for eyes, nose, anythign sensitive with claws and fangs.

Kaida had caught Taijya's grin, but kept her attention on Sunderbahn's hinds, releasing the broken one and aiming to do the same to the other. By her mind, if she could brek enough limbs, he couldn't do anymore harm. She didn't really care if he died or not, she just wanted him out of the way.

Ankh & Aidan

Upon hearing their alpha's call, Skeil and Yersinia had to take off.

But Ankh was no longer a strict member of the Lurkers, though he did owe them his alligence. Still, his aunt's call was not one of great urgency, so the black hybrid didn't respond to it. Instead, he busied himself with pulling away from Sunderbahn's attacks after getting a good gash across his side. He slid agiliy away from the coyodog, knowing that he already had one broken leg, and most likely was getting another. It'd be child's play to kill the helpless mix, so Ankh bided his time, while all the while carying a leerying look at the doomed Sunderbahn.

Aidan's eyes flickered open, but as soon as he tried to move, an agonizing pain hit his stomach. Instant nausea. With a faint groan, his eyes fluttered close, and only his ears heard vaguely of what was happening. The strong stench of sulfur blocked out the smell of blood that was thick in the air, so Aidan did not realize that Stallis's childeren were being massacured.

Quake & Sunderbahn

While Sunderbahn was worrying over Ankh, and then the new assailant, Azhlin, Kaida was able to make her next move easily. The second hind limb was broken in her jaws. Sunderbahn gave a horrid, snarling cry. His right eyes was gouged by the pup's teeth, and his nose was badly torn into. He tried to support himself on his hind limbs, but the grating bones didn't hold, and he fellt partially to his side. His fangs were now directed at Azhlin, returning the frenzied snaps to the pup. But with a lost eye, it was much harder for him to judge his bites.

Quake was still helpless on the ground, unable to do anything but watch the horrible attack on his brother.

Azhlin*Kaida

Azhlin yelped at he felt a rear paw smash under the pressure of Sunderbahn's desperate jaws, and realeased his hold, wrenching the paw free and leaping. He landed neatly on three legs as if he had done it all his life, which, truth be told, he had.

Turning about upon himself to survey the damage, and shook his head in disinterest. He had sustained worse. He would live. However, he did not rejoin the fight. Between Ankh and Kaida, he figured they could bring the last down.

Kaida released the second broken limb to reach up for a spine hold, aiming to paralyze him as she had his brother. Of course if he died, that was okay too, but that was not necessarily her aim. She had no want for his death. She was just in it for the fight.

Sunderbahn & Quake

Sunderbahn fought as hard as he could, but there was little for the mixbreed to do against his attackers. Kaida was able to grip his back, and with the right pressure, fracture the vertebrae there. Like his stricken brother, Sunderbahn's hind quarters went limp.

Quake struggled nearby, creating a furrow in the ground where his paws dog at the dusty ground, trying to drag his half-paralyzed body towards Sunderbahn. "Stop! Please!" He cried out, seeing what Kaida had done, but knowing it was already too late.

Ankh & Aidan

Ankh watched with cold amusement as the last one was paralyzed. He smirked, but didn't go in for the kill. "You'd better get out of here, before my brother wakes up." The small hybrid warned the others, for he didn't want the Lurkers to come after his new 'friends'. "I still need to... reason with him a bit." Ankh strolled lightly past Sunderbahn and Quake, flicking his tail high as he did so.

Aidan's eyes fluttered again, but everything was rather blurry at the moment. "Ankh...?" He whispered in a groggy voice, scenting his brother, and seeing some dark form standing in front of him. Still, his body was too worn to respond well.

Legosa, Phelan, Sweetclover, Laporta

Legosa spotted the commotion from where he stood with this three childeren. Perfect he thought and gave a loud howl, calling one last time for his missing son. Then he began to trot towards the struggling coyodogs, an evil smirk played across his lengthy, white muzzle. His three pups tottered along uncertainly behind him.

Legosa glanced to Ankh and Aidan, knowing them to be affiliated with the Lurkers, whom his pack had the strongest alliance with. He did not fear retaliation from them, "I'll finish up here. My pups need to get acquainted with blood anyways." Legosa certainly wouldn't win the 'Best Father' award by any means, and if he were a human, he certainly wouldn't be allowed near his childeren. But as it was, there were no police in the wolf world, aside from some morally driven vigilantes, which Legosa despised. "I'm going to teach you about killing. It's a vital task you'll need to learn to survive. Your mother and I have had our fair share of fights, and you have them as well when you're older." He began, thinking nothing was wrong with teaching this to his pups. In fact, he thought it truely was a vital skill.

As cruel and cold-hearted as Legosa was, there was a faint love for the pups, though it wasn't much. But even more, he very much loved Aaka, and knew that she would be greatly hurt if anything happened to her precious pups. For that reason, and perhaps that reason alone, Legosa took extra measures to ensure the safety of his three pups. He padded towards Quake, a calculated and heartless thought in his mind. Towering over the much smaller canine, Legosa suddenly swooped his great muzzle down and tried to get a hold of the coyodog's muzzle and break the thin jaws between his own. This would help ensure that his pups wouldn't get hurt while they tried to kill Quake.

Phelan, Sweetclover, and Laporta all huddled together, utterly terrified at the sight of the two coyodogs who were so badly injured. Phelan was the smallest, and definitely didn't want to be killing anyone.

A small form could be seen in the distance, running fast and kicking up a bit of dust in his little wake. It was Atticus, who had finally heard his father's call on the crisp, winter air that let sound travel further than in the hot summer. He skidded to a halt next his his father, heaving and panting hard from his long run. The sight of the blood did not really bother him at all. In fact, he watched curiously as his father attacked Quake. There was even a look of dangerous desire in his eyes. Oh yes, he was destined to become like Legosa.

Azhlin*Kaida

Azhlin stood comfortably on his three good legs, watching the younger pups have their lesson. His cursed blue eyes watched them, saying in his mind Learn well, watch close, remember always. You will need it to stay alive. Deep down inside him, what was left of his conscience squirmed as he watched them huddle together, realizing that these pups did not know yet just how dangerous the world was, and how true his thought was. Shaking his dial, he headed off to find Whisper.

Kaida tossed a smirk at Quake as the small coyodog begged for her brother's life. I have no reason to want your death or his... this chap, however... And she trailed off, tossing her head to indicate Legosa as he moved in for the attack. Her wild green orbs fell upon the doomed female for just a moment, and then she too turned, off to seek out Taijya.

Ankh & Aidan

Ankh watched the others leave, and didn't concern himself with Legosa, who he knew had good bonds with the Lurkers; well, at least his mate did, anyway.

Aidan slowly pulled himself up, blinking away the fog from his tired orbs, "Ankh.... ANKH!" His voice grew sharp and taunt as he saw the three bodies littered across the ground; two near enough to death. "W-what have you done?" Aidan pulled himself up fully now, his larger body now towering over his brother's. His blue eyes blazed down at Ankh in disbelief and his teeth were bared, "Those were Stallis's childeren! What have you done!"

Ankh shrank back, knowing that Aidan was a good deal stronger than himself, and a great fighter at that. "Hey, listen up!" Ankh snarled angrily, but Aidan bolted past him, ready to tackle Legosa away from Quake.

"You fool, stop!" Ankh cried, spring towards Aidan and ramming him hard in the stomach. Aidan tumbled to the ground, the wind knocked clean out of him. "He'll kill you, and you know it. Now collect your senses and listen to me." Ankh said, slowly circling around in front of Aidan, who was struggling back to his feet.

Aidan glared coldly at his brother, "I've got common sense, brother. This, this is not common sense." He retaliated, scanning briefly over the three stricken coyodogs, "You kno..."

"Shut up, Aidan!" Ankh snapped harshly, stepping boldly closer to his large brother, "You won't tell aunt Hydras about any of this, will you?"

Aidan's eyes blazed at Ankh again, "You can bet your..." But before he could finish, Ankh cut in calmly.

"After all, Hydras wouldn't be happy to hear that you attacked your poor, starving brother, when all he wanted was a scrawny little chicken to feed himself?"

Aidan's jaws opened in surprise, "That's a lie! You wouldn't stoop so low..." But again, he was interrupted by a curt laugh from Ankh.

"Oh, I would. So for your own sake, keep your trap shut. And I wouldn't attack Legosa, or you will find Aaka after you in a heartbeat. So let him put these two out of their misery; they're as good as dead anyway." Ankh finished, then headed away, out of the Domes.

Aidan stood there for a long moment, hardly able to believe what had just happened. He looked sadly to Sunderbahn and Quake, knowing there really was nothing he could do for them. Well... maybe there was... the hybrid sprinted towards Sunderbahn, his eyes painfully avoiding the coyodogs. In one swift movement, he dipped his head down to snap the suffering creature's neck, and end his pain. He dared not go near Quake though, for Legosa was too much for Aidan to handle.

Sunderbahn & Quake

Sunderbahn looked desperately to Aidan, a look of partial relief in his eyes, "I tried to-" but his voice was cut short as the hybrid broke his neck. Just like that, Sunderbahn's upperhalf fell limp to the earth.

Quake did what he could, but he simply couldn't avoid Legosa's attack. The much larger canine got his jaws, and with ease, broke the bones so that there was no possible way for the coyodog to bite anyone now. Giving a muffled, agonizing yelp, he struggled about, but of course, it got him no where.

Cavan

Leaving from the Eskers, having been less than succesful in his food search, Cavan was glad to see two of his allies here. "Legosa!" The wolf called, sauntering nearer to the large brute, but keeping a respectful distance. "Ah, so you've got a family? And you're... having a bit of lesson-learning today?" Cavan smirked, watching callously as Quake was made more helpess.

Aidan

Aidan winced as if hit by fangs. A shudder ran down his spine, and he offered only a fleeting glance to Cavan. Then he ran, as fast as he could, from the Ashen Domes.

Legosa, Atticus, Phelan, Sweetclover, Laporta

Legosa stepped back, releasing the broken jaws from his own. "The throat is the easiest and quickest way to kill. Have at it." He ordered, looking to his pups.

Atticus sprung forward instantly, his little jaws going for the side of the throat, closest to the back of the jaws. He growled his fiercest and shot his scrawy tail up high, holding it like a proud banner.

Sweetclover seemed to draw some inspiration and courage from her larger brother. She stepped forward as well, going for the other side of the throat. She wasn't so cocky as Atticus, but she did growl.

Phelan and Laporta stayed back, not really wanting to kill the canine. The huddled down under the father's angry, disappointed stare.

Legosa, Atticus, Phelan, Sweetclover, Laporta

He looked back to Cavan and smirked, "You could say that. And what have you been up to?" If Legosa had any friends, Cavan would be considered one of them. A rough-around-the-edges sort of loner.

Quake

Quake yelped out pitifully, trying to shake the two attackers off of him, but there was very little he could do. Their jaws were still young, and they couldn't quick get to anything vital in him, but they were drawing blood and causing more than enough agony for the coyodog.

Cavan

"Not much to speak of." Cavan admitted, stepping closer to Legosa, but giving the big brute his space. "I've joined a rag-tag pack, of sorts. You know a fellow named Niavo? Well him, Ankh, and I have joined together. We've got this little human too..." Cavan was about to name the child for Legosa, but figured he could care less about that. "But yeah, I'm still pretty much on my own." His eyes settled on the pups now, and a vague idea began to form in his head.

Legosa, Atticus, Phelan, Sweetclover, Laporta

Legosa nodded faintly, a look of amusement on his bloodied muzzle, "Niavo is the son of the late Black Fyre and Hueros." His teeth were bared in a deepening smirk, "And as I hear it, he is the only surviving offspring, after his brother took a trip off the mountain." The white brute let his childeren worry over Quake while he turned to face Cavan more direction, his sharp eyes searching over the multiple scars covering the wolf's face, "Is there something you want?"

Atticus dug his little teeth in as much as he could, snarling and thrashing about, trying his best to damage the flesh and kill the creature.

Sweetclover did her best as well, wanting to please her father.

Phelan and Laporta stayed back, not at all wanting to get involved in this murder. They were petrified.

Cavan

Cavan listened to Legosa's words, and it clicked into his memory that he was the murderer of Niavo's father. Woops, bad topic. Letting that drop, and hoping that he hadn't gotten on the brute's bad side, Cavan went on, "I'd like you to finish off my brother. He's escaped my teeth for too long now, and it seems his pack is gone. In return... my sister could help watch those two." He nodded to Phelan and Laporta.

Legosa, Atticus, Phelan, Sweetclover, Laporta

Legosa was silent for a moment before speaking, "I'll take care of him for you, sure. It'll be another good lesson for these two" So saying, he shot a look at Phelan and Laporta, angered that they weren't obeying him. "Alright, take them to your sister. But have them back at the Silver Glades before sunfall; I..." The hybrid trailed off, abruptly ending his sentance there. "You two, follow Cavan. If you can't listen to me, I don't want to bother with you right now."

Phelan and Laporta looked from their father to Cavan, not sure which one looked scarier. But in fear of Legosa, they both scuttled towards the scarred-up wolf, trembling in fear. He definitely didn't look inviting.

Cavan

"They will be back before sunfall." Cavan vowed, turning his good eye from the father to the two, frightened little pups. "Follow me." The scar-faced wolf headed away from the Domes at a pace which the pups could follow. He went to the Tall Grass Prairie.

Legosa, Atticus, Phelan, Sweetclover, Laporta

Legosa turned back to Quake, watching as Atticus and Sweetclover worked him over. "Keep biting. Use all the strength you've got."

Atticus wagged his tail a bit, encouraged by his father. He worked all the harder, as did Sweetclover.

Phelan and Laporta slunk off after Cavan.

Quake

Quake's energy was waning quickly, seeping from his body until he could no longer hold the weight of his head. The gnawing tug of the pup's fangs, at first so razor sharp, now felt as only playful tugs. Pain was growing distant, as was the living light from the young canine's eyes. No longer did the words of his tormentors reach him, nor the biting cold snow freeze his soul. His dying mind was pulling away from the tortured body, easing the hybrid's cruel pain and momentarily offering him a clear mind. And finally, with a rattled sigh, Quake was dead.

Thy family have gone to the sky, you see;
With bodies broken by thine enemy;
And now doth the light grow dim in me;
So family, I join you in eternity!

Legosa, Atticus, & Sweetclover

Legosa lifted his head higher, "A job well done. Now, you'll see how a pro does it." The large brute turned from the carcass of Quake and made his way to the Spinulose Bog.

Atticus and Sweetclover bounded after him, their tails stuck high in the air and fresh blood dripping from their jaws. They really didn't get the concept of 'death', but what ever it was, they know saw it as a wonderful thing. Something that pleased their father. And at their young age, it was all about making the parents happy, for happy parents meant nice parents. And nice parents meant happy pups.
