Nightcrawler

Slinking over the ground with unusual grace and agility, the black wolf seemed no more than a shadow gliding by as he moved from dome to dome. Striking yellow orbs flashed this way and that, trying to cut their way through the billowing steam and boiling waters that came alive around him. Minute beads of moisture collected on his sleek pelt from the steamed air, making him seemingly glitter against the rays of the sun that hit his dark pelt.

Nightcrawler cautiously mounted a low ridge and tilted his muzzle upward, twitching his nose and drawing his auds back a bit. The overpowering scent of sulfur choaked out most other scents, leaving his nose more or less useless in this area. But he tried anyway, hoping to pick up any interesting scents.

Kali

Kali at last, had just turned a year old yesterday. She had spent it alone in the dark. The place were she always dwelled, the place she always known, and grown to. It was always there unlike others she had known so well. She padded along the lands unsure of were to stop, now following the sents of human curous, and wanting more. She soon came across a wolf she had met before. She stopped dead in her tracks and glanced back as she just trotted by Nightcrawler. A sheepish smile imacted upown her maw. Her dark orbs glowing with hatred. She hadn't changed abit, although her once friends have.

Nightcrawler

Having at first been met with nothing but the noxious odors of the sulfurous gases, Nightcrawler was about to depart from the mound and head elsewhere. But just as his ebony body was poised for movement, a familiar wolven passed by his sights and stopped Nightcrawler in his tracks. In a spit second, his mind devulged the signals he recieved and he tried to make them out.

Was that smile an invitation for him to talk? Yet... what about those cruel eyes she glanced at him? A bit confused but always, as ever before, eager to be friendly, Nightcrawler took leave of the high ground. His tail swept downward, held loose but low in a friendly manner. His ears went back as well, for he dared not let his intentions be confused with any ill-meanings. "Kali!" His voice was a simple, light-hearted yip.

Kali

Kali's sheepish smile grew to hear is voice and watch him draw closer. Kali was nearly full grown, and the size of a small adult wolf. She would be of average size, but very slender. Her dark orbs never changed giving him a poisonous look. "Allo Nightcrawler, It seems the darkness and brought me here to see you once again. I was thrown from your pack you know. You have the most self-centered and bitchyest Alphess. Why must you stay there? Your much greater then that. You my basturd friend are much better then that in some way. For some reason, by stupidity I aussme is why you stay there. So stupid. But I am not about to just waste my time critizing you. I was just passin by with nothing to do. Although I have been wondering if Storm really did kill himself, or did someone else? It iches me to know the truth, but perhaps the truth is not to be known or sure of" She said with a voice clear and strong. Her cranuim held high with pride, and her talons digging into the terra.

Nightcrawler

Nightcrawer's flashing orbs, carrying quite the opposite demeanors that Kali's did, grew a bit wide. He was startled to hear her words, and his orbs casted downwards now, though they would flicker back to meet the fae's for a moment. Without realizing it, Nightcrawer had pinned his ears back more in a subconscious reaction to her attitude. Oh, how submissive he was, and so loathing towards conflict! His lean jaws flexed as he want to reply, but at first nothing came out. Such was the shock from what she had said to him.

"I suppose you're right. But then... I've no where else to go. And..." Nightcrawler trailed off a bit, but went on to speak, "I have one enemy that I'm sure would love to rip me to shreds if I were without the protection of a pack." The black wolf pointed out. He was imensely confident in his agility and speed, but once caught, his lacking strength could be easily exploited by a more powerful foe. He thought over the name Storm, but his memory hit nothing on it. Shaking his head, the brute added a bit, "I'm afraid I cannot help you with that. I know of no one by that name."

Kali

Kali nodded as he spoke. "Yes, I can see your point, and can agree with it. You are welcome at my pack. No one can hurt any of us with the protection of Shaba. It's physicaly impossible. And I'm not just sayin that." She said with a slight luagh at the end, although she was serous. Her life of enjoyment, for she had never felt enjoyment in her past year of life. Never knew what it was like, never understood it.

Nightcrawler

Now his ears pulled upwards, encouraged by her invitation. He didn't know her pack at all, but he was willing to trust her. He wondered who this Shaba fellow was, but decided against asking a bunch of questions. Besides, a more pressing matter was on his mind. How would he severe the ties with Ghost and her pack? Well... he'd be glad to get away from Cavan, the evil-minded brother of his best friend, Jais.

"Thank you for the offer. Where does your pack live?" His auds perked more at the single laugh that was delivered at the end of her speech and his tail gave a faint wag. It always pleased him to see others in good moods. Nightcrawler wanted above all else to brighten other's lives. He wasn't sure if he could do it, but he'd try to make Kali see some enjoyment in her life.

Kali

Kali smile grew hearing his reply. "We live at the Otchona mountains" She said. She turned away facen the direction of which her pack would be found. She glanced back at him, her orbs reflection changed from death, to darkness. "All kinds are welcome there. You will see some wolves that are of pure goodyness, others nuetral as the alphess. Soma dark as myself. Many visters come. Angel is my favorite. Her mind deeper then my own. She has a sick mind so watch what you say to her. And Shaba to. You might want to know about Shaba, or you may wound up on the ground." She said turning back around. "You can't fight him, but he can fight you. You can't see or touch him unless he allows it, and he can to you. He is not of life, of death. Shaba is a cursed spirit. Watch your tounge around him, although he's pritty cool" And with that her words ended and silence broke through.

Nightcrawler

He blinked back uncertainly at Kali, never before hearing of an actual spirit that presented itself to the physical world. But, he was very superstisious, and so had no trouble believing her on this matter. Forcing a nod, he went on, "I'll be curteous. Should I go there... now? Or would it be better with an escort?" Nightcrawler was wondering if Kali would come with him, for the talk of Shaba had done some to make him nervous.

Kali

"It doesn't matter. I can take you there I suppose." She said her dark orbs watching the path or direction to the pack. She glanced back at nightcrawler, and in her mind she told him to come on. Looking forward she started off to the pack.

Nightcrawler

He nodded in acknowledgement and set off after Kali. He was glad that she had decided to lead him, for he was always nervous about entering unknown pack lands. Conflict was something that he tried to avoid.
