*Human*

A pickup truck drove down a rarely used road through the Ashen Domes. Thick grayish dust billowed up in wake of the vehicle and made it difficult for the two hybrids to see anything. After nearly twenty minutes of driving, the truck slowed to a stop and was turned off. The man came around and unhooked their leashes from the truck bed and led them around to the front of the truck.

He guided them for several hundered yards across the bleak terrain until they could detect the scent of old blood. There was part of a caribou carcass not too far away from them. And as the man had suspected, there were scavengers feeding at it. Three foxes, a few buzzards, and some magpies. "Alright, go get 'em!" he urged and unhooked their leashes. He hoped they had the instinct to chase the foxes, and the cunning to kill them. If not, he would have to train them. This was only a test, and not the real work he had bought them for.

Remnance

*he spotted the scavengers and he lowered himself to the ground. instinct taking over.starting forward the young male came closer to the scavengers. he suddeny lunged for a fox. it was what he saw first. he snapped at it before lepaing back and coming back in to knoc kit down. he smelled the blood and wanted some of it. he was going to fight for it though.*

Aura

She had never hunted befor or fought but she watched Remanance and tried copying him. She crouched low then sprung at a fast spinrt and lunged to grab one of the foxes and bite down hard.

*Foxes*

Remnance succeeds in knocking down one fox and scoring a light wound over its back. Knowing it was no match in fighting, the fox turned and bolted away, running across the barren land.

Aura also succeeded in catching a fox; although she got it by the tail as it was turning to run. In a desperate bid to get away, the fox whipped his slender muzzle around and bit at Aura.

The other fox also bolted away.

The buzzards took to the air, and the magpies scattered a few feet from the fighting. "Blasted wolves!" one stated with annoyance.

Aura

She yelped and released the fox in being bit but quickly leapt on the fox and bit down on anything she could grab. She heared the magpie speak and snorted growiling in its direction.

Remnance

*he growled as the fox bolted but he quikly leapt at the magpie that talked without warning. he quikly tried to snap at it and then tried to lunge on it with major force.*

*William & Scavengers*

William watched them with a critical eye.

Aura's fox nearly got away from her, but one front paw came down over the middle of its bushy tail. Unable to get away, her jaws came down over the lower part of its back. Once again, the fox turned as best as it could and snapped at her. If she bit down hard, she could easily break his spine, although that alone wouldn't kill him.

The magpies were very quick. When Remnance came at them, they took to the air, flying just out of his reach. "Stupid wolf!" one harped down at him.

Remnance

*the large hybrid ssuddenlly leapt into the air. it was that much but his snout was coming close to the magpies. he tried to catch one by its tail feathers. his anger was overloading.*

Aura

She snarled and bit down hard to break the spine. She kept her paw firmly on the foxes tail and snapped reaching for its neck.

*William & Scavengers*

The fox was able to bite Aura's paw, but she was able to break its spine. Unalbe to get away, it was easy enough for her to bite the fox's neck and kill it.

The magpies flew higher into the air, startled by Remnance's leap, although half expecting it. Not wanted to push their luck any more, they flew off several yards and landed on the ground, yelling insults at him.

Remnance

*like a lion using his large lungs to take in oxygen he suddenly ran faster then a normal wolf. a growl was let out as he lept this time his aim would be perfect.*

Aura

She yelped when her paw was bit and then she egan to snarl. She grabbed the fox by its neck and bit hard and shook it brutally when she thought it was dead she carryed it over to the man and dropped it wagging her tail happily for this was her first succesful kill.

*William & Magpies*

The magpies knew wolves pretty well, for they often stole food from them. But Remnance wasn't quite like a normal wolf. As the birds scattered into the air once more, one's wing was caught but Remnance. Crying out, the bird began to peck at his nose and flap her other wing desperately.

William knelt down to pat Aura on the head. He praised her with some words as he picked up the fox and studied it. He noted the way she had attacked and killed it; it was just how he wanted. He knew most dogs would cruelly maul a fox and cause it to die from shock or blood loss while all too often biting at tis stomach. But Aura had went straight for the kill. Now William watched Remnance. He was about to call him back over, but saw how fast the hybrid had gone, and how quick he was to attack. Biting his tongue, William watched.

Remnance

*he bit on the birds wing ignoring the pecking. he landed and tried to put a paw over it to hold it down.*

*William & Magpie*

Willim focused his attenion on Remnance. Maybe, he thought, they were ready for their real job now. I thought about taking them out to test them after this, but wasn't to sure yet.

The magpie continued to struggle, but their wasn't much to be done with a large paw pressed down on it.

Aura

She yipped happily when she could see her masters satisfied look. She saw the Caribu and figured why not have a meal while Remanance finished the job. She walks over to the carcass and rips off a slab of meat and begins to eat it.

Remnance

*he quikly snapped at its small neck to break the neck bone and may be break the jugler vien.*

*William*

The magpie's struggles stopped all at once. Remnance had the strength in his jaws to completely severe the neck in two.

William watched as Aura fed on the carcass. Good thing I didn't bait that meat he thought to himself as he began to walk back to his vehicle. He called to the two canines again, urging them back into the vehicle. They had other places to go now.

Remnance

*taking the bird in his mouth he went to the call and hopped into the truck be. he kept the bird not letting go.*

Aura

She continued to eat but when he called her auds flicked in his direction and she swallowed what she had, licked her maw, then darted to the truck hopping in. She yipped happily to her master and Remanance.

*William*

He laughed, seeing how Remnance had taken the bird with him. He was glad he didn't have to use the shock collars; that's the small things he had put on them earlier. But they had listened to him and didn't try to run off. Still, he would keep the collars on for a while just to be sure they'd listen to him. After closing the tail gate, he hoped in and the engine roared to life once more. Then he drove to Galar's Marsh.
