Vagabond
The blind black male moved as quietly as he could through the Aegis den, trying his hardest not to wake everyone up in the morning light of dawn. At least... He thought it was morning. His father, Razorblade, was still sleeping and Vagabond had slipped away, trying to learn his way around the den. However, what he didn't know, was that Razorblade had taken them up the stairs last night. Vagabond moved quietly, as quiet as a mouse, when suddenly the floor fell out from beneath him. With a startled yelp, Vagabond fell down, down down, his body banging against the stairs all the way down until he landed as a small heap at the bottom. He stood slowly, shaking out his body carefully then listened closely, seeing if he woke anyone up. He was still apprehensive about being here. He was Saydin's grandson after all... Being in a home filled with Lurker's was unnerving when you were related to the enemy.
Vagabond moved through the Den, bumping into everything from Barrels to crates, even tripping at one point over a bunch of steel bars. But he was learning, trying his hardest not to be useless to the Lurkers.
Auri
Auri and her brother Kobalt themselves were also nervous about being in Lurker territory. They were children of Kahvi and Saydin. Kahvi had once been a member of the Lurkers, born in the alleys to Aurinka, and later taken away by Suenga. Auri and Kobalt had left Sedge Creek as soon as their father was murdered by their mother. They lived with their sister, Nightshade, who had asked the Lurkers to simply watch the young canines until she returned from the council. They had too many enemies to be back home with poor protection.
Auri, who was an exact replica of her grandmother Aurinka, was woken by a bang and a thud. She opened her weary eyes, then sprung up when she saw her nephew staggering around clumsily. She rushed over and stood between him and a trashcan that was full of glass bottles and other dangerous things. "Vagabond, it's Aunt Auri. Are you alright? Can I get you anything?" Auri, like Aurinka, was a motherly type. She would be glad to help her big brother with his son, even if that meant she was a babysitter.
Auri had gotten many stares from a handful of the Lurkers. Not really impolite or anything, just very confused or shocked. She had yet to meet all of the Lurkers, and she had no idea what was in store for her when Desmon saw her. Auri was already thinking of asking to stay with the Lurkers forever.
Vagabond
He smelled her, pretty little Auri. He had an image in his head of her, for he had felt her once, long ago. She was a pretty little thing. He was sure she was colorful, for one with such a personality as she, she'd have to be a bright and colorful thing. He paused a moment, turning his head in her general direction. Sheepishly, the small pup murmured to her. Aunt Auri... I need someone to be my eyes... He hated admitting weakness. He was much like Razorblade in that manner, but he knew that without help, he was going to be more of a hinderance to the Lurkers then anything. Nobody wanted a blind wolf in there pack. So he was going to make it up to them, become a strong wolf, with the greatest sense of smell and ears that could hear anything.
Auri
Auri had been told she was beautiful, but she wasn't sure. She was a skinny little thing and had a graceful build and stride. Her coat was a steel-gray color, like that of her great-grandfather Vicious and the same yellow-gold eyes, but she also hearkened back to her late great-grandmother Tahti. She was, in nearly every way, an exact replica of her late grandmother Aurinka. Auri was beautiful, but she just didn't know it. She cared about others. She put herself at the bottom of the list, if she was on the list at all. Young Auri had been through a lot. When she was just a pup, she witnessed her own mother murder her dear father in cold blood. What had Kahvi done? The only mistake he made was getting into a relationship with that dirty tramp. Auri believed that Saydin was a power-hungry, malicious wolf who did everything she could to rule the world, even if she killed the ones she loved. But did she love at all?
The only role models she had were Nightshade, her sister, and Failure, her brother-in-law. Nightshade took care of her and made sure she was safe, happy and healthy. Auri never got over the death of her father, and even meek little Auri would look forward to the day that she had her mother begging for mercy.
The coywolf had spaced out for a moment, remembering the past, before answering her nephew. "Of course, Vagabond." She said compassionately. "I will be glad to help you see." She looked around, taking the world in with her golden eyes. "The alley is sort of dark, but there's a little bit of precious sunlight creeping in from the gap between the red brick buildings. The ground is dull and gray with trash strewn all across it. There are flights of rusted metal stairs leading up to doors in the sides of the dusty buildings. This place seemed morbid at first, but after spending some time with this pack, I have come to realize that while it is not aesthetically pleasing, it is brightened up by the warm kindness of the Shadow Lurkers." She did her best to help her blind nephew see. The world was a big place, and it was hard to describe some of it, but Auri would learn how. She would also try to help Vagabond use his other senses to 'see' the world without sight.
