Vestige
As requested, the Aspen Grove pack had kept it's promise, and was delivering a moose carcass to the Lurkers. Vestige, Glider and Kiki, and any others that had decided to come along, slipped through the steel door, dragging the large cow to the center of the first floor. The alpha dropped the kill, and lifted his head, barking loudly once to draw the attention of Hydras and Lyckos.
Glider/Kiku
As he passed through the alleys, Glider couldn't help but think of Canis Rex, who he met here. He looked around at the Lurkers, then down at his grandson. "This is where we first met your father." He said quietly. "But don't make the same mistake we made. Treat these canines well, and they will surely return the favor."
Kiku frowned when Glider spoke of Canis Rex. Still, he nodded. "I will treat them like family, grandfather." He replied.
Suenga
Suenga saw Vestige. He looked up when the wolf barked. "Thank you..." Suenga mumbled lightly, they would faithful allies. Even though the alliances was edgy still....
Hydras & Pack
Dropping down beside Hydras, Pirqua announced the approach of the 'allies'. "Vestige is here, with some of his pack."
Hydras stood slowly, still sore and battered from the fight, but healing quite nicely. Shifty eyes watched as a familiar but not all too welcome figure came into her sights. Head raised, she padded forth without dropping her gaze from the other alpha, "We appriciate this offer, Vestige." Her words carried little sincerety, but she was obligated to say them anyway.
Pirqua had now perched herself on a railing above the others, glaring coldly at the other pack. As always, she thought of Jet-Wing whenever she saw them.
Even though Jet-Wing had been his best friend, Bullet was far more forgiving than his sister. If it were up to him, he wouldn't hold such a grudge against the pack that had done nothing but help them since their alliance. But he didn't hold a high enough rank to speak such things, so he remained quite.
Cortinarri volunteered to follow after Vestige, though she loathed coming back to the place where she had nearly been killed. It reminded her all the more why she hated Aaka and the Lurkers.
Vestige
Vestige's muscles stiffened slightly as Hydras approached him and his pack. He begrudingly dipped his head in a nod of respect, since this was the home of the Lurkers and he wasn't exactly welcome.
The alpha noted the tone in which Hydras' gratitude was given, "I hope it's enough for you all." Because I'm certainly not going back out to hunt again. He inwardly grimaced. Still, it wouldn't look like he would have any choice in the matter, for the simple fact that they would need the Lurkers to defeat the Haunters.
He turned, signalling to the others it was time to head home. Brushing up beside Cortinarri, he looked back to the Lurker alphess at the last moment. "I hope you all feel better soon, Hydras." Then, he began to leave, muttering "Come on, let's go home." to the three that had followed him.
Reaper * Sequioa
At Kalions words her eyes lifted to meet his again, and she searched his eyes with hers, as if searching for a jest that he was surely making. Love her? No one could ever lover her. She was mean, nasty tempered, and had a coldness no one seemed to penatrate. No one.... except him. Her eyes fell, and she whispered again so only he could hear, I love you to Kalion.
Reaper had stayed, at least until she was a bit older. With each passing day, it was evident that her anger rivaled that of her fathers, and that unlike her mother, she had no control. When others asked her to play, she snapped. When they asked if she was hungry, she snapped some more. She needed to be nice, but she just couldn't seem to find it in her to do so.
Hydras & Pack
Cold eyes watched as the others departed. Then she relaxed and approched the offered kill, with a brief glance around. Desmon was still out with the pups, but there would be plenty for them when they got back. "Lets eat." The alphess announced, before setting into the meal.
Bullet held back a moment, watching his sister carefully. Usually, he had to wait until she was finished, but this time was different. Creeping forward slowly and getting no rebuffs from Hydras, Bullet set into the meal as well. Ankh, Honthale, and the others soon joined in.
When Hydras was good a full, she moved off a ways to rest. But before she could rightly settle down, a familiar voice was calling. With a glance to Pirqua, she headed out.
