Lyckos

It had been about a week and a half since he had accepted Aurinka into the Shadow Lurkers, and so far nothing had happened to suggest there anything "wrong" with or about her. He smiled quietly to himself as he entered the Aegis Den from the warm sun as it began to set. Padding into the center of the den, Lyckos called out, "Aurinka, Come here please." He was finally going to let her out of the den with the others to play and explore, after mauling it over for a week.

Whilst he waited for her, Lyckos lay down in a patch of the fading sunlight, and sighed a happy sigh. He would need to see if Hydras was OK in a moment, prehaps she would come to see him?

Hydras & Pack

If there was one thing about being a mother that Hydras didn't like, it was being cooped in one place for a long time. Standing up and stretching her forelegs, the alphess carefully stepped over her brood and sauntered towards her mate. "I think you've made the right choice." She confirmed in a whisper, as she brushed up against his shoulder, touching her muzzle to his neck in greeting.

Argolis, who had been napping, was quick to wake up when his mother left. With a squeaky yawn, he clambered over his siblings as he made his way to the edge of the 'den'. At least, where the shadow from the above staircase ended. Blinking away sleep from his eyes, the young pup looked out at the rest of the basement, just itching to go check out the other members. Hydras had been a little protective, letting the other near her brood, but not to play with them.

Lerna growled in protest when she was stepped on by Argolis, but her brother had continued on without a look back. Now that she was awake, the pup yawned as well and stood up. After a good shake, she sauntered to the edge of the staircase, peeking her head out from under the lowest step as she surveyed the 'big world'.

Camden & Quake

Camden also snarled gently as Argolis decided to go over him instead of around. Blinking twice as his eyes adjusted to the light, the pup stretched and stood up, joining his siblings in a gathering to view the world after being 'hidden' from it for so long.

Quake batted a paw in the vague direction of his brother, and missed. Not one to join in on all the activity, he rolled over and splayed out on the cool floor. Finally, a chance to spread out...

Fallen

She had come in after weeks of absence. It was becoming a bad habit that she wanted to break but instinctively she was still a loner at heart. She liked the company of the pack, but her heart laid in nature alone. The white scar that decorated her neck was now but a simple mark to forever remain. She was as healthy as an ox and was ready and willing to pull her weight once again. Though still very submissive, she would stand up against her daughter, her sons if she had to. Tyrant wished not to see her dead, but if he were to fight against her, she would fight against him. Crucified had changed, and she didn't know into what. Would he turn against her as well?

Coming up she laid on the ground with her tail between her legs. Eyes flicking back and forth among members. Some she knew and some she didn't. She was starting to feel out of place and knew she had to fit in once again.

Aurinka

Aurinka's head shot up when she heard Lyckos call her over. She swerved past the trashcans and other clutter, politely saying "Excuse me" to anyone who was in her path. Her tail began wagging when she reached the one who had summoned her. "Hello, sir. Did you want me?" She asked happily.

Lyckos

He smiled as Hydras came over, nuzzling her neck in greeting. He nodded, the turned as he heard Aurinka. "Yes, I did. I think it's time I allowed you to explore the alleys..your new home. Obviously take someone with you for safety, but you may do as you please; within reason." He smiled again, nodding her dismissal before once again turning to his mate.

"Hydras," he began, his hazel eyes catching the movement under the staircase, "Do you think it might be time to let them meet their pack?"

Aurinka

Aurinka barked happily. "Th-thank you, sir." She said, bowing and turning around to see the others. She raised her head high and yipped, "Does anybody want to explore with me?"

Hydras & Pack

To Aurinka, Hydras gave a cautiously pleasant smile, though didn't outright say anything to the youngster. Memories of Danger's daughter lurked in the back of her concious, forever keeping her wary of outsiders. But like Fallen, Unknown, and the other, time would bring trust for the hybrid, so long as she proved herself.

"I think it's time now." Hydras responded half-absently, before snapping back to attention, "Yes, the pack should meet their newest members." Said now with a soft smile, the alphess headed to the center of the ground floor. Muzzle tilted up, she gave a short, quick bark to call the members to attention.

Waking from a nap, Skeil scrambled to her paws and came dashing down the flight of steps. Tail wagging merrily, she stood a few feet from Hydras. She already assumed what the news would be about, and glanced excitedly towards the staircase, where she could see three of the pups peeking their heads out.

Bullet was next, lumbering along with his tail held loose but low. Right after him was their nephew, Ankh. The much smaller hybrid, with his characteristically large ruff and long, slender muzzle, looked nothing like his aunt and uncle.

Desmon and Hatch followed shortly after, with Scaria close behind. "I'll go with, but we'd better see what the alphas want first." Desmon whispered to Aurinka as he passed by, a sweet smile on his three-toned muzzle.

Pirqua and Mesa joined the gathering as well, sweeping down through the windows and alighting on the railing near where Hydras called the meeting.

As she waited for the others to gather, Hydras turned to Pirqua, "Will you gather Equiss, Aidan, and his young?" Aminita passed through her thoughts, but she had long since exiled her neice, and wasn't going to fold in on her punishment now.

Lyckos & Others

Lyckos nodded, falling silent as Hydras called the pack together. He brushed up against her to stand by her side, watching the members gather.

Kalion made his way down just behind Ankh, looking rather worried about something, but he quickly snapped out of it as he came towards the rest of the pack. Putting on a fake smile, he joined the back, keeping an eye out for Sequioa.

Satan and his daughter Vitani joined the ranks, lying together at the back, with only mild interest sparking in them. That would soon change once everyone arrived.

Kuro and Suki were next, taking a wing-seat near the entrance hole, each attentively looking to Hydras and Lyckos.

Palima joined Pirqua and Mesa on the railings, her golden eyes watching all from above.

Ninaki & Black Feather

Returning from the Dump, Ninaki had a new foe to add to their list, as well as a 'friendly'. But that could all wait until the alphas were finished speaking. Slipping through the door as the pack began to assemble, the beta set down a large oppossum, who had been generously donated by a strange fellow while he was out scouting for food.

Black Feather perched himself on the sill of a second-story window, so that he could hear what was said while also keeping an eye out for trouble.

Sequioa * Immortal * Sasha * Voodoo

Immortal had an akward limp in her gait from a broken leg that had never gotten fixed. It didn't hinder any of her abilities, she just looked funny is all. She smiled at Hydras, still trying to get on the females good side.

Sasha came forward, all liquid grace but she stood next to her mate and murmered softly in his ear Mon amour...I want more pups..... The next step. Getting past her childrens death. Her docked tail waved at Aurinka and the others, a light in her eyes that had been missing for so long.

Sequioa came down the stairs, and that mask that was always in place seemed to be broken a bit. There was something in those yellow eyes of hers that seemed....different. Anxious. She looked like she was about to have a nervous breakdown, but she said nothing. Not yet.

Hydras & Pack

As the others gathered, Hydras gave a light yip to call her children forward. "I would like to introduce you all to the newest members of the pack." A brief look was passed over Immortal, with just the slightest of smiles being offered to the female. In a time of joy, it was hard to stay mad at anyone right now.

At the calling, Argolis hesitantly stepped forward, He looked bewildered at first, in the presence of so many big creatures. But then his confidence rose and he bounded towards his parents, tail a-wag. Lerna was quick to follow, scrambling out from under the steps as she trailed her brother.

As they came out from under the steps, Hydras named them, "Argolis, Lerna, Camden, and Quake."

Watching his little nieces and nephews, Bullet was taken off guard by Sasha's request. Wide-eyed, he turned to look at her, before brandishing a big smile and nuzzling her. "For you, the world." The big hybrid stepped forward from the group now, standing in front of Hydras and Lyckos, "Congratulations again." With a bow of his head and a smile flashed to the youngsters, he turned away and headed from the den.

Pleased with his actions at first, Hydras was baffled by his next move. Just where was her brother going, and so abruptly? Hiding her curiousity, she only gave him a nod and watched as he left.

Ankh watched his little cousins with fascination, while getting the same idea as Bullet and Sasha. But, he would wait a little while before bringing this up to Snowy Owl.
