Risen
Silent, listen.....
A Shadow Crept along the walls with the stench of a demoness following it. Gold coins flickering in the light of the night as she prowled thought the alleys. Looking for something to mess with. She was a 3 month old pup, but becoming a very well defined minx. Her body was thin and her weight was under. Her coat representing that of her fathers. The fourth most wanted animal in the lands. But her intentions were not to kill anything... yet ... She just wanted to either, well, becoming part of the pack, or become enemies with them.
Dainty pads fell silently against the concrete as she made her way deeper and deeper into the alleys. Ears flicking waiting for a Shadow Lurker. Slowing her pace she stopped and stood infront of what looked like a broken down gate between two buildings. She lowered her dial and kept her ears back, eyes fixed souly on the opening between the gates. "Come out Lurkers, I would like to speak with you." She said in her ghoulish voice. One that no one could fear, nor be comfortable with. Monotone. Her head stayed down and waited, waited for anything really. If it wasn't a Shadow Lurker, it would be her victum.
....The Cries, you hear them?
Hydras, Pirqua, Mesa, & Yersinia
A silent observer had spotted the fae long before she reached the broken gait. Gliding silently several hundered feet in the air, it would be almost impossible to notice this keen sentry. Or at least take much notice in her. A faint cry was shrilled out and the falcon did a sort of dive, but there was a good deal of acrobatics in her display. Then she wheeled away, soaring out of sight once more.
To many, if it was even noticed, this was no more than a speck of a bird flying too far overhead to be given a second thought. But to the falcon's sister, perched several blocks away from where Risen was first spotted, it was a message. The cry caught her attention, and the skilled dive, with its various twists and turns, was a cryptic langue the birds used. This daughter falcon then took off from her building perch, flying fast to alert the Lurkers that a fae was in the area, and heading in such and such a direction...
In little time, Hydras and her neice, Yersinia, were heading along the alley ways, their direction altering quickly here and there as they headed for the location their falcon friends gave to them. The original bird had reappeared, wheeling about in the sky to tell her daughter which way Risen was headed. And her daughter was right with the Lurkers, acting as a translator and guide.
And so, by the time Risen had reached the gate, the Lurkers were waiting patiently in the shadows with a falcon perched high on a nearby rooftop, nearly out of site. Signaling Yersinia to stay put, Hydras came out of the shadows only seconds after the wolf's words were issued. Her head and tail up and ruff expanded maginficently. But her sad golden orbs were riddled with untold misery, though there was a dangerous defiance hiding in them too. "I am Hydras, alpha of the Shadow Lurkers and of this domain. Speak your business." The recent death of her beloved sister left Hydras a little less than welcoming.
Risen
Gold specks turned up to the lead female. Her tail was out with more pride than it should have been, but her eyes veered from contact of the others. Auds kept to the side as her body stayed in an awkward position, her spine was more straight, not dominant, but not submissive.
Eyes grew to a slit as she stared to the other. "I'm wondering what is the status of your pack. Good reputation, or bad? And how do you join? I do not like living with normal wolves. It's not... exciting enough. If you know what I mean." Monotone vocals stayed silent. Not to loud, not to soft. Just enough to bore you, just enough to hold your attention.
Barrel grew larger than normal as she withdrew a breath and held it in. Waiting for the shadow lurker's responce.
Hydras & Yersinia
A faint smirk tugged at the alpha's features, but her own gloomy spirit held it at bay. And her eyes continued to stare into Risen, though she was pleased that the other didn't return the look. That would have warrented an attack, and the Lurkers weren't ones to play fair. But as it was, Hydras took Risen's visual cues and made some quick assumptions. She held some pride and respect for herself, which was a trait among most of the Lurkers. Good. And she respcted the alpha; the most important one.
"It all depends on who you ask." Hydras replied, lifting her head a bit and narrowing her eyes now as Risen stared back. Her ruff bristled out more, framing her wolvish head and shoulders with multi-toned fur. "We have many enemies and are no friends of humans, if that says anything. But we also have a strong ally." Hydras thought a moment and smirked inwardly at the last statements given, "I would certainly not call us normal, if you go by normal wolf standards. We are a fighting pack. Assassians, warriors... a force to be reckoned with." Hydras now let her words rest, seeing what kind of response they might bring about in Risen.
Risen
An evil grin showed easily from her lips. Her eyes narrowing as well, but never comming in contact with the alpha females. If she would join the pack. She would work her way up on the line of respect. Though it was not in her interests to challenge the alpha. Not yet anyways.
Hind quarters lowered down and she sat, feeling like this was an acceptable pack. Her head raised, but was still not as high as the alpha's. Keeping a submissive bow, but nothing to show weakness. "Assassians? Sounds fun." She grinned though still her voice did not give any change for happiness. "Who do I speak to to join?" She paused and waited.
Hydras & Yersinia
"You are looking at her." Came the reply, authorative and slightly cold. But there was a hint of pride too. "I'm Hydras, the Queen of the Shadow Lurkers. Or alpha as most would say." 'Queen' was not the term anyone called her by, but that's what Hydras liked to think of herself as. She had ruled the pack as a single alpha ever since her parents died a few years back. And although she nearly had a mate and an equal to her authority, the brute had dissapeared one day.
As the alpha held a constant survey of Risen's behavoir, she made it a point to offer the fae a warning, "The Lurkers are a very loyal pack. We look after each other, and we don't play fair in battles if it would mean loosing or having one of our own seriously wounded." Hydras began to explain, just to let Risen know what she was getting into, "We follow the rules of survival, not some fancy regulations that might pit one wolf against one wolf. And if all else fails, fleeing from a fight is not about our pride. After all, what good does pride do when you're dead?" Her pack had its fair share of defeats, though it boasted far more victories.
Now Hydras offered a flicker of a smile, hoping to hook Risen, "And in our pack, females are the dominant ones. Respect everyone, but don't be afraid to put them in their place."
Risen
She smirked, though the sound of respecting others bothered her a little. She shrugged it off. " Sounds like fun. And I'm quiet strong in fighting, don't let my small size fool you. And I shall be loyal to the pack." She bowed then looked up. Wondering if she would be accepted.
Sequioa*Sasha*Flame*Fly
Silently more shadows appeared. One of them, a tall doberman, was limping from a broken leg. Another a hybrid of....unknown heritage went and stood near Hydras. Flame, a large rottweiler stood menacingly behind the small pup while his hyper overactive border collie friend trotted around the large circle.
Unable to stay quiet Sequioa, the hybrid said in a harsh tone "Wont your mummy miss you? We can ill afford to deal with a pup with parents wanting them back. Plus....I dont think you have finsished business with Little Hidden Betrayal" A sneer came over her shephards face as she watched the pup with no interest.
Risen
Golden yellow glared to Sequioa. A slight snarl fell over her as she was rudly reminded of Hidden Betrayal. " How do you know my rivalry wih her. And I haven't killed her just yet. I will in the future. And the battle will not involve you. This is one on one business, don't bother with it. And as for my mother. She is a wimp, she couldn't be higher class than the scum. If she were to come and try to drag me along, she would have to bring me dead. I would love to join this pack, but despite my size, do not think I will be the weakest link in the chain." She snarled then turned respectively to the alpha, wondering her answer.
Sequioa
A silent shadow crossed over Risen as Aaka emerged from her own shadows. "Ah but what about your father Viscious? He is not weak and as I remember he is an enemy of this pack." The white female was formidable in her own way everywhere but her face was remarkably beautiful and unscared. Her yellow eyes danced with an evil from deep within her anger unmatched by any. She had places she had to be and this wasnt one of them.
Sasha once more glanced about looking from Hydras to all the others. Glancing at the pup she was unsure of how to react. She didnt want a pup like this here....One that already appeared to be turning out like Abamacho and Aaka.
Hydras & Yersinia
Hydras was pleased by the appearance of some of her members, but not so pleased about the dispute that started up. She knew that her pack must maintain structure or it could splinter. And she had once made the grave mistake of allowing an enemy into her pack; Rage. "You know each other? What is this arguement about?" The alpha demanded with snarl of annoyance.
Risen
She stared heartlessly to Aaka as she spoke of her father. "I have only seen my father once, I have never talked to him. And I doubt he'd have time to mess with the likes of a pack. He only came to our pack to check on his spawn. But other than that he is unknown to visit other packlands." She turned to Hydras then bowed her head. "Hidden Betrayal, is who I know. Vowed.... how should I put it... -Rivals-. I wish for a fight with her, and her alone. Is she apart of this pack. For the last I knew, she was from the pack I came from."
Cold yellows flared at the thought of defeating Betrayal. Though the flare was short lived as she turned to look and listen to each of the pack members, and the way the whispers that were probably going on around her. She thought nothing of it and turned back to the alpha, staring to her forehead without making contact. The sure sign that would would not lower herself to one who didn't deserve it. But the alpha was one to respect, for now.
Aaka
Alphess of the silver glades purred in her cold winter voice "Betrayal was my gift to Ghosts pack in a way of allegiance." She stood close to Hydras her yellow orbs dancing with demons as she spoke "You little lady shouldnt venture so far from home. No telling what could get you. What large cats lurk in every corner." Aaka knew to well large cats were not ones to mess with. Ghost Walker and Miglisi were not far away supposedly hunting for food.
Sasha all of a sudden stood erect and excused herself from the pack going to where she smelled Bullet and another stranger.
Risen
Her head lowered and she stared to Aaka, Her eyes indirect to the female, but still with an internal rage of the name 'Betrayal'. She lifted her head then threw it to the side. Eyes staring to the one who left the little group. Then wondered back to Hydras and Aaka. " I shall venture where I wish, I Fear none, I have no reason to. Sure I'm small. But as I said before, Don't judge me by my suit. I'm more than one can handle." Teeth flicked lightly, but all too soon dissapeared behind her grayish black lips.
Hydras & Yersinia
Hydras was unsure of what to do now. She valued her pack member and ally's feeling the most. But at the same time, she knew her pack would benefit with more members. Coming to a conclusion, the alpha spoke, "My pack cannot function with internal squabbles, so here's the deal." She looked closely at Risen, "You will stay near my neice, Yersinia..."
With her name spoken, the hybrid came forth from the shadows. She was rather small and had the classic collie-body, but with a wolvish face. Her fur was a mixture of cinnamon, red, and white.
"...and Sequioa. If you three can manage to get along well enough, then you can be a part of the pack." With her word final, the alphess parted from the group to let them chat or go their own ways. She had more business to attend too.
Sequioa
Sequioa growled softly. "Me? Why cant Sasha do it?" but Hydras was already gone. With a snarl she moved past Yersinia and into the shadows and layed down on her 'bed' it was only a pile of old humans clothes but they were hers.
She sent a look at Yersina softly she said "Watch the kid im not spending my life babysitting someone elses pup."
Risen
She growled slightly to Sequioa as she spoke of her as if she were a burden. Eyes lighting up she looked back to Yersina. Lowering her head, though she had no idea which position this female was at. She felt she would be the lowest at first, but would not let herself stay at the bottom of the chain. "What do we do? I suggest a hunt, it will get us to know each others moves. To learn how to act as a pack until I become a member." Her mono tone said in a low volume(sp). She stood and walked in a circle looking at the exit of the alley. Then looking back to the other two. "Come on, It will be boring here unless we do something." She gave a soft hiss and began to walk out of the alleys and to the Tall Grass Prairies. Almost daring and tempting the other two to follow. Besides.. Who didn't enjoy a good hunt?
