*Horses & Humans*
In a very large, vacant grass lot, there were over 50 horses and twice as many people. Many people had come to either sell their horses, trade, or buy one.
The horses ranged from young colts and fillies to worn-down, aged stallions and mares. Purebreeds and mixes in all ages and conditions were present.
The people varried as much as the horses. Young and old of different class and atire were here.
Nanuka and Tango
Nanuka and her 1 year old son quietly walked down the alleys. They smelt the horses and humans but they didnt care. They crept closer to the horse corral and slipt in.They Started their attack by picking out a yearling filly and made towards her.Trying ot avoid flying hooves that was bound to be going off now.
*Humans & Horses
The filly neighed loudly and began to run from the cougars, instinctively frightened of them! But in the small pens, she didn't have far to run.
The filly's mother, a large, mix-breed draft horse pinned back her ears. Being very protective of her youngster, she turned and kicked out with her deadly hooves, trying to hit the mother feline.
Nearby horses in other pens began to panic and stir about.
Nearby humans quickly spotted the cougars and an alarm went up. Five men and two women came rushing towards the cats. Two horse shoes were flung at the cougars, in an attempt to drive them off. The humans shouted and waved their arms about as well.
Nanuka/Tango
She was too hungry to pay attention to anything even her own cub who had gotten hit with both horshoes to the head and shoulder in which caused it to fall and just lie htere. It was still young and now it slightly bled from his head.
She growled as the mother horse tryed to kick her she just missed and decided she try to take the adult down instead and she jumped hoping to land on the back of the horse.
*Humans & Horses
The mare kicked out again, but missed a second time. Nanuka ended up on her back as she gave a shrill cry, bucking and trying to throw the cougar off.
Two men rushed into the pen, hopping over the fencing and heading for Tango. Dodging around the panicking mare, they reached the wounded kitten and tried to pull him out of the pen.... One grabbed Tango by the scruff, and the other around his back.
Three other humans picked up some poles, which were lying around to set up little tarps and tents. They swung the poles at Nanuka, trying to strike her across the back and head and get her off the mare.
Nanuka
She growled and adventually was thrown off the mare. She lay there dazed for a second then got up and charged one of the humans.
tango:he put up little fuss as his head hurt and his shoulder.
*Horses & Humans*
The two humans dragged Tango over to a car and wrapped his legs up with some rope, so that he could not get away once he came back to his senses. They shut him in the backseat of the vehicle and would take him somewhere once they were done dealing with his mother.
The mare raced about, kicking and bucking still if Nanuka got too close.
The humans scrambled back as the cougaress turned her attention on them. The human she charged held up his pole and cowered back, trying to brace himself for the impact.
The other two pole-people swung their weapons repeatedly at the cat, shouting angrily and still trying to drive her away...
From the far end of the lot, a man came running towards the commotion. He had a pistol with him...
Nanuka
She growled and jumped up attempting to get the human. Her tail going back and forth rapidly. You could now tell she was skinny very skinny. She growled.now she was knocked but to realization and got off the human and began searching for her son instead. She let out soft calls for him.She swiped a foot at one of the humans.
*Horses & Humans*
The man fell down with a cry, thinking he'd be dead any second. But to his relief, and surprise, the cougaress backed off.
The rest of the humans began to chase after Nanuka, waving their arms and weapons about and shouting, trying to drive her away. One lady, looking elderly, approached the car. She quietly opened it up and freed Tango from the ropes and set him in the grass so his mother could find him. She then disappeared into the crowd, unnoticed by the other humans who were all watching the adult cat.
The pistol man reached the scene and fired his weapon into the air. It was a warning shot. The next would be aimed at Nanuka...
Nanuka
She heard the shot and ran straight for the man with the pistol and jumped at him aggressivly.
Tango:he was awake but injured. His shoulder was dislocated. He cryed for his mother.
Horses & Humans*
Having kept himself at a reasonable distance from the cat, he had good time to aim at her when she charged. He could see she was skinny, which would mean she was weaker than normal, and hopefully not as strong as she should be. Aiming quick and carefully, he fired a shot into her chest, but a bit off to the side.
The man then dodged to the side at the last moment, getting raked by her claws though. He readied his gun for another shot at her... if she stayed too much longer, she'd surely get killed.
Nanuka
After she got hit she retreated. She collapsed alittle ways away though.
tango:he cryed for his mother and limped towards where she went dragging his dislocated leg.
*Humans*
The crowd gathered around the two cougars as the pistol man approached, loading up his weapon to deliver Nanuka the final blow. But just as he was about to shoot, the old lady revealed herself again, stepping quickly in front of the man and speaking in a calm but authorative voice. The man scowled, talking back in a heated tone. The two began to argue.
Finally the arguemeant ended. The lady, along with another lady took a hold of the collapsed cougaress. In her wounded, emaciated condition, they knew she wouldn't be fighting back a whole lot. They managed to drag her over to a car and put her in the back seat. But just to be sure that she wouldn't begin to struggle about, they put a rope around her blunt muzzle, and tied her paws up.
Next they got Tango and carried him to the car. The older lady got in to drive, while the slightly younger one held Tango, trying to be careful of his damaged leg. She was also wary of his claws and fangs; but because of his young age, she would be able to deal with him if he fought back. They drove to the Woodland Farm house.
