Demon Thrasher
An ebony, almost purple looking demon awaited in the shadows.
Finally they come. He'd been waiting for a while, but not easily seen. He stood silently behind a couple of trashcans, not the greatest scent. He watched the kids for a second, taking note of all of them. He noticed a dog by the dumpster, if it attacked him, well.... Whoo more fun...!
Demon crouched low ready to spring. Closest child was the target. Tall one, he was unable to guess the age. What did it matter?
Suddenly, the pillars carried him ino the pounce, jumping out growling. He ran up to the child, jaws open, trying to lock onto him somewhere. He aimed to his torso somewhere, an arm or the back.
*Kids & Dog*
The kid was not paying attention to his surroundings so much as he was to the ball that was just being picked up. The other four turned around in surprise at a cry that went up from the victim, as Demon Thrasher managed to sink his fangs into the side of the boy. The boy began to slam his clenched fists down at the wolf where ever he could; but primarily his face area.
The others didn't run or panic too much. Instead they swarmed towards their friend, yelling and shouting at the attacker. The one with the baseball bat swung his weapon very hard, aiming for Demon Thrasher's back.
The other three began to pelt the wolf with their fists and feet.
The dog barked estatically and jumped about, but he could not tell rightly what was going on. The kids were crowded around too tightly.
Demon Thrasher
Demon felt many blows upon him, the sides, face, and a swing of the bat on his back. He Let go and snarled and barked viciously, warning them to back off. If not, Meet my teeth.
Kahana
Kahana was walking around in the alleyways, her curled tail wagging as she was exploring more. She saw some kids in the alley playing a game with a ball and her tail wagged. Another dog sat with the kids. He appeared to be a pet.
Kahana was watching their game from a distance as a wolf attacked the nearest one. The akita female stood up at trotted towards him, a growl rumbling in her throat.
The female stormed over, her brown eyes blazing fire. She stood domanantly, curled tail held as high as it would go, rounded ears shoved forward in anger. "Why'd you do that? He's just a puppy." Kahana growled.
Demon Thrasher
Demon kept barking at them, hearing the new voice. He barked a laugh this time.
Why'd I do that she asks.... He said to himself. He geld his tail high as he could, dome held higher.
Dog girl, you gotta know I don't care. At all. And If you want to survive, you need to learn that this hellhole is crawling with wolves worse than me. Want to know the best wolf at this? Taijya. She is the best at this killing. She doesn't really care. At all. But you gotta know you can't save everything we all kill. Problem? Deal. Thrasher explained to her, turning attention to the kids again, snarling agian.
Kahana
Kahana listened to the wolves speech with anger. "I don't care if you don't care. You don't kill pups." the Akita snarled, showing white ivories. She didn't lift her head in domanance, for that would show her vunerable jugular, the easiest part to attack. Kahana backed up towards the children, ready to defend them...
Demon Thrasher
He snorted and lifted his heaad back for like two second then lowered it.
News flash, they ain't pups. Humans call them "children" or "kids."
I dont care that you dont care that I dont care! You could be a good adddition to the team, or do you still defend them...?
He was getting angry now.
Kahana
"Well, I am still sided with these...things you call kids. They're like pups...the helpless." she snarled, lurching forward at Demon Thrasher before pulling back to the kids.
Demon Thrasher
Hah! Helpless... They were attacking me with a bat genius! Well, if you're still on their side...
He barked at her.
Kahana
"Serves you right. Oh, and It's called self defense. Even you must know what that is." the akita growled.
Demon Thrasher
Self defense? DUH! They can handle me themselves, but whatever.
He growled back at her.
Kahana
"They can handle you themselves...whatever." Kahana snapped back. She wasn't going to move from her position. On the outside, Kahana looked calm, like she wasn't prepared for an attack, though inside the akita was poised perfectly, like a cobra getting ready to strike.
She eyed Demon Thrasher. Since he held his head high, it would be easy to get the vunerable jugular, or go for the soft stomach...
Kehatin
I WILL FIGHT
Kehatin, long free of his human owners, had taken to scourging the Alley, the home of his blood-sworn enemies. That did not stop him though, as far as he was concerned, they wouldn't have remembered him, he was always in the background, watching and planning. Now that he had nothing to loose, he moved about the alley with little worry but still had an air of caution about him. He was the heir od the infamous alpha Danger, and a giant at that. In his blood, the artic genes coursed through him, but although he was wild, he had been taken by humans and had grown to tolerate them. Kehatin had lived to protect them and when he saw the scuffle going on between humans and the wild wolf, he was torn both ways. He had vowed to return to his wild calling, but five years serving a human family, protecting his little master, had taught him to be sympathetic to the two leggeds' cause. Minutes later, with an air of finality about him, the mammoth of a wolf approached the scene that lay before him quickly. The captain's ears laced themselves tightly against his skull and his lips lifted to reveal shinning fangs in a vicious snarl. The silvery gray and black brute cricked his tail high above his back and caught the male's gaze, his amber orbs staring hard at the attacker. Kehatin was not a domineering wolf and in any other situation would have not taken the stance of a alpha, but he would have been the heir to the ruling rank of Danger's pack had he not had very different views to those of his father. Kehatin fought the urge to just flat out attack the male and kept his attention focused mainly on the adversary.
"Walk away before you are hurt, wild one."
Kehatin's tone had dropped to a frightening depth and his eyes flashed angrily. Not only was he angry at Demon Thrasher, he was angry with himself for siding against the one nature he had chosen to live in once again.
Demon Thrasher
As Demon noticed yet another approaching, wondering what the hell he wanted.
As it resumed position, he showed no surrender but no alpha stance. He just dropped his tail and head to its normal stance.
As the death adder spoke, he growled to the dog.
You've gotten lucky this time, dog. he said as he walked off, growling at the kids as he passed them.
But before he walked off, he said to the wolf:
Why won't you come to nature's side?.
He swore to himself about a hundred times how he let the dog win. But he was still half new with the bounty thing. 2 against 1 was the next level which he wasn't ready for.
Kehatin
Kehatin's fur bristled as Demon Thrasher swept past the children and to make
sure he did not try anything, the caliph followed him until he was well out of range
from the humans. When the brute's inquiry hit the air, Kehatin did not know how to
answer. He did not rightly know the answer, but he wasn't going to sit there
and ponder his indiscretion. He no longer cared for the humans and then here he
was, defending them. He could not let them be exterminated, either, if only he could
have had the best of both worlds. "I will do as I please.." The caliph replied
to his fellow wolf in an undertone. Turning the opposite way, Kehatin turned a corner
and was soon gone.
