Jenalee
A girl walked through the dark alleys, her deep brown eyes glinting in the pale street lights. The scent of animals was strong around her, and she kept her gaze intent ahead of her. Around her arms was a long scarf, also wrapped loosley around her neck for warmth. She wore bellbottom pants with a hole in the left knee and a large black coat. The night blew a gentle breeze on her and she leaned against the wall, rubbing her gloved hands together.
Silence in death
The brute approached the young child, he had no intentions of harming the child, the only bloodlust he had was for small animals such as voles or rabbits. He wandered over, wary of the being. He came close, but not close enough to touch her. He let out a small whimper to let her know he was there.
Jenalee
She turned to the animal and gave a small grin. In truth she was not as young as she appeared, she was merely slightly shorter than normal adults. She bent down, one knee touching the ground and held out a gloved hand for the brute to sniff. Her heart swelled with envy and love for the animal, all her life she had looked up to the wolf, to all the canine species, and longed for a life not unlike their own. the night grew longer and she gazed upon the beautiful animal, a tingling sensation running through her stomach. 22, and still nervous in the night, although nothing much scared her, that she would admit of.
Death
Two animals one wolf and one wolf dog were haveing a quarrel. It was audiable to the girl although it didnt sound like a fight. Just a lot of barking. And it was coming closer. At see the girl Death the black wolf froze and began to growl not at Jake but at her.
Jake the half golden retriver half wolf to froze but he didnt growl. He looked almost like full wolf. Except he had the golden sheen of a retriever. He cocked his head and barked softly coming closer even though Death kept warning him. He felt a sharp pain at his side as Death bit him. He yelped and turned. He also had the friendly subbmissive behavior of the golden
Jenalee
She backed up slightly, watching the two mammals fight, knowing she was powerless to stop them. Full grown canines were a pain to attempt to stop, especially equipped with their adult teeth, sharp and ready for action.
she heard the other signs around her and looked around. to her left was a hose; she picked it up, following the trail to the nozzle.
Please work, please work she begged silently to herself and turned the rusty oval. At first nothing happened, and she gripped the hose tightly, squeezing her eyes shut, cursing an obsenity. Then, a spurt of black gunk flew out of the hose, and freezing water began spurting out of it. With a whoop, she turned it on higher, kinked the hose and approached the dogs.
She had learned never to abusively dicipline a dog; water had always done the trick. She knew they may round on her after ward though, if they had not learned fear or disipline and stood atop a sturdy pile of boxes. She unkinked the hose and placed her thumb over the opening to increase the degree of spray. She assaulted the dogs with water in an attempt to separate them.
Death
At the cold water Death just latched onto Jakes side harder and said "Lets go." He began to drag Jake but he was to big. Buddy had size on the wolf. Without another word Death slashed Jake across the side leaving him bleeding. He then turned and left getting away from the water. Jake however stood there and let the water assault him. He wanted a friend. One who wouldnt judge him for being friendly. Perhaps this human could do the trick
Socrates
Socrates appered from nowhere.
Canaines snapping at the two wolves.
A low growl emitted somewhere deep inside his throat.
Death
Death had already left...Jake however just looked at Socratestes and said "You smell kind of like the Shadow Lurkers....Dont mess with me pal. Im one of them." he had no intentions of hurting the girl. He just wanted another friend
Jenalee
Shaking slightly, she kinked the hose and jumped down, looking toward where the more agressive dog had left. She ventured over and turned off the nozzle before returning to the other dog. She noticed the other canine conversing with the more friendly one, and waited for a moment before bending down and relinquishing the back of her hand once more, wondering if he would still accept her.
Silence in death
The brute stepped forward and looked closley at the human. He was not used to such people, come on, i mean, walking on hind legs!! shadow watched her with narrowed eyes, he felt n fear, just a little suspicion.
Jenalee
She matched his gaze firmly, lips pursed as she realized how temperamental some of the dogs in these parts could be. Sighing she knelt down on her other knee to keep from falling over, and extended another hand, palm down to the newcomer.
Silence in death
The wolf decided to drop the act, he stepped forward and tenderly licked the tip of the humans fingers. He then stepped closer to allow her to pet him.
Jenalee
She smiled and rubbed his chest first, as a sign meant of no harm or challenge, then rubbed his ears affectionately.
"there, that's better, people will like you better if you don't act so tough all the time." she laughed gently. "You're a pretty devil though."
Silence in death
He liked this human, she seemed kind. A emotion he had had little contact with. He panted happily but held his tail erect, signifying no submission.
Jenalee
She gave a small laugh and ran a tender hand beneath his chin, studying his structure for a moment. His eyes were bright, and she liked that, he seemed healthy enough, if not a bit undernourished.
Inside her pocket, she pulled out a peice of jerky, she hated the stuff, but had held it for one of her friends. The nasty stuff was stinking up her pocket even though it was in a plastic baggy. She held it out to the canine, letting him study it first for poison, freely giving it to him.
Silence in death
Beast took the food willingly, after one sniff and gulp, it was gone. He liked her hand gently and panted happily.
Jenalee
She smiled, rubbing his cheek gently.
"A pretty brute like you should have a name," she replied, unsure of his dubbing, and thought for a moment. "How does Xerxes sound?"
Silence in death
Best of silver and ebon let a flash of pink slip through his jaws. He licked her in a approval. He liked the sound of that.
Death
A white She wolf skirted around behind the girl and growled softly. Who was she and what was she doing in her allies lands? but at the sign of food she came around and stood next to Jake keeping half of herself shielded by shadows. As another peice was handed over to Silence in Death she walked forward revealing what she had been keeping hidden. Her shoulder was torn open near the bone from a recent fight. It was even the same shoulder from a fight that had happened about two months ago. Forgetting about it Aaka stepped on her bad foot and yelped leaping back just causing herself more pain. She looked at Jake then at the girl. If wolves knew the meaning of emmbarrasment she was definantly feeling it. She hadnt eaten for a few days unable to fun. Her friends had gotten what they could to her but it wasnt much. It never would be much.
Jenalee
She jumped, startled at the new comer and her sudden appearance, and gasped as she realized the femme was bleeding. Holding out the jerky she attempted to coax the femme toward her, and pulled off her scarf to perhaps wrap it around the badly damaged wound.
Silence in death
Beast of silver and ebon sniffed the femme. She was a pretty thing. Shame about the wound, He stepped up to her, he looked at the wound. He looked concerened. He did not know the she-beast, but he tenderly licked the open wound on her shoulder, then realising what he had just done, he crept away from human and demoness; into the shadows.
Death
Aaka let out a soft yelp as Silence in Deaths tongue touched her shoulder. She crept closer to Jake who had stood there the whole time looking confused. He saw the jerky and bounded forward eagerly. He didnt know who it was for but he was hungry and didnt truly care.
Death and Storm Warning came out of the Shadows Death looking angry Storm keeping his face blank. He slowly walked over to Aaka and grabbed her by the scruff as if she were a young puppy once more. Death however was advancing on the girl and Jake. He snarled and said to him "Dont protect a human. Theyre not worth it" he was the devil of the land. He melted into the shadows and would appear once more in a completly different area. He was angry and they could all see that. Jenalee was lucky though. To save her was Aakas sister Moon Spirit the kind hearted one. She stood defiantly near the girl growling softly whenever she moved
Silence in death
He was mad now. Although he had never trusted humans he himself, this one was different. She had given him food when he was starving, given him company when he was lonely. The hairs on the back of his neck bristled and he snarled menacingly.
'Looking for a fight?'
Death
She alpha of the Sedge Creek Moon Spirit turned her growling to both Silence and Death. She knew she would have a problem here. She wasnt protecting a human. Death was angry. And when Death was angry someone got hurt.
