Hydras, Skeil, Ankh

The she-alpha of the Shadow Lurkers pack was distressed about her pack. She didn't know where her mate was. Kiarra was badly injured and hadn't yet shown up since then. Ninaki, Kenyon, and Yersinia were missing as well. Anxious to bring her pack together, Hydras pointed her muzzle upwards and gave throat to a high, urgent howl.

Narsia looked over at her alpha-sister then paced down an alley to peer out at an empty street. She was worried about the others as well.

Skeil was curled up under a stair case, listening to the call from Hydras. The pit bull shifted and laid her head on her forepaws.

Ankh pounced on a plastic bag, then looked around at the three adults to see their reaction to the sudden noise. They hardly noticed. With a bored sigh, the youngester left the bag and trotted over to a sewer drain to sniff about.

Ninaki, Kenyon, & Pirqua

Unsure of where Demon, Kiarra, and Bullet had gone to, Ninaki sullenly returned to the Alleys. Padding over to his mate, he nuzzled her before sitting back on his haunches.

Kenyon bounded over to Ankh and peered down the sewer's drain. "I wonder what's down there." he whispered while waving his tail slowly. "I bet you can fit through the hole there and check it out!" he suggested, still in a whisper so no others could hear.

Piruqa alighted on the railing of the steps Skeil was under. After rousing her feathers, she settled them back down and closed her eyes for a nap.

Hydras, Skeil, Narsia, & Ankh

Hydras was glad for their return, but still there were some missing. "Has anyone seen Demon, Kiarra, Rathe, Bullet, or Toboe? They've been missing for some time."

Narsia licked Ninaki's cheek then spoke lightly to him. "Rathe and Toboe are new members to our pack. I haven't met Toboe yet, but Skeil tells me he's got a spirit like a pup's."

Skeil stood and padded over to her alpha, "Should we search for them? I wonder if the Alley pack might have caught them alone... no telling what might happen."

Hydras nodded slowly, "That's right. We need to find them soon. Pirqua, search out the Alley pack if you can. Ninaki and Narsia, why don't you two search for Kiarra and Demon. Skeil, why don't you search for Toboe and Rathe. I'll stay here in case anyone tries responding to my call."

Skeil agreed with a single nod of her head and trotted off.

Toboe

*he lifted his head up from the howl and padded towasrds the sound. he appeared his tail wagging. he had gotten a bit lost in the alleys so he had layed down to rest. good thing hydra had howled or he woulds have been out there for awhile.*

Hydras, Skeil, Narsia, & Ankh

Spotting Toboe, Hydras gave a quick howl to summon Skeil to come back. Her stomach growled suddenly, reminding her that it had been a while since she and her pack had eaten. "Wait everyone, for a moment. Pirqua, why don't you stay here and wait for the others to arrive, if they do. I will take the pups, Skeil, and Toboe to search for food. Ninaki and Narsia, you two can try to find the others. We'll all meet back here in a while."

Skeil nodded a greeting to Toboe when he came, then looked to Hydras. "Where should we get food? The Dumps, or a hunt?"

Ankh stepped back from the sewer, "I'll check it out later." he said to Kenyon, then turned to the rest of the pack, "A hunt sounds fun."

Toboe

the dumps aren't safe no more. he got a dog that protects the dump. she is a good fighter. i say hunt. but where to hunt? i havn't really exslpored farther then the alley and dumps. Ninaki, Kenyon, & Pirqua

Ninaki looked to his mate, "Where should we look first? The last place I saw the others was at the Canyon. But I'd wonder if they are still there."

Pirqua flew from the railing and landed on the top of a building. From there, she could see many alley ways and streets.

Kenyon bounded over to Toboe and the others, head and tail held high although he wasn't trying to show any dominance. "What about the Ranch? Hey, maybe we can see Aidan there!" He suggested excitedly.

Kiarra

Slowly the grey wolf walked through the alleys. She stumbled on three legs, her back one not touching the ground. Blood showed all over her back leg and neck and she couldn't see clearly from all the blood lose. She thought she saw her pack but wasn't sure, "Hydras? Narsia?" She whispered before collasping on the ground. She winced when she fell on her hurt leg but she was so weak and drained that it hadn't hurt that much.

Hydras, Narsia, Skeil, & Ankh

Hydras rushed towards their fallen packmate with her tail cricked with concern. "Kiarra!" she barked urgently, nosing the wolf's neck, hoping for a response.

Narsia, Skeil, & Ankh came quickly to form a close circle around their wounded friend. "She's in bad shape; think we should..." Narsia spoke, but was cut off quickly by her sister.

"Shhh, I'm thinking." She nudged Kiarra again, thinking quickly about what needed to be done. They needed to hunt, but the injured Kiarra was top priority. "Kiarra, can you hear me?" she questioned and nudged her again, "We need to get you to the Woodland Farm, can you stand?"

Skeil began to pace nervously, "One of us will have to carry her if she can't. We should send at least two of us to keep guard."

Kiarra

Kiarra's eyes opened up slightly at she looked up at her alpha and friend. With a small nod of her head she tried to stand up but couldn't. Falling back down she sighed, "I need some help standing" she said with a weak voice. She didn't want to be carried, she wanted to try and walk on her own.

Hydras, Narsia, Skeil, & Ankh

"We'll help you, don't worry." Hydras replied lightly before giving out some quick orders. "Ninaki, head to the Woodland Farm inhead of us; make sure all is well and inform the pet we're coming. Narsia, you and I can help Kiarra." She looked around at the others a moment then finishes, "Skeil and Toboe; you two can stay here with Ankh, or go look for food." Turning her attention back Kiarra, she gently crouched down beside her.

On her sister's command, Narsia crouched down on Kiarra's other side. They were both ready to stand up with their injured friend and help her get to the Woodland Farm.

Skeil sat back on her haunches, watching the procession.

Ankh stood beside Skeil, watching Kiarra with concern. He was deeply worried about her, although he rarely showed his emotions.

Kiarra

When Hydras and Narsia both crouched down besid eher she let them hold her with there body's. Pushing up with her three good legs she stood shakely and smiled weakly at them.

Ninaki, Kenyon, & Pirqua

Ninaki glanced back at Kiarra before heading quickly to the Barn at the Woodland Farm to make sure all was well.

Pirqua watched anxiously from her perch. She already had instructions to watch for returning packmates though, so she stayed put.

Kenyon paced anxiously at first, then settled down by Skeil, Ankh, and Toboe.

Hydras, Narsia, Skeil, & Ankh

"We'll take it slow now, and stop so you can rest when you need." Hydras said to reasure Kiarra. Then signaling to her sister, she and Narsia began to slowly head for the Barn at the Woodland Farm. If Kiarra needed to stop and rest along the way, they would wait for her.

Skeil watched them as they headed off. Then she turned to Toboe and the two adolescents. "Are you three wanting to go get some food then? We could raid the Ranch; what do you all think?"

Ankh stood and nodded, not showing the excitement that he held. "That sounds good."

Kiarra

She nodded slowly and started forward slowly, not able to go to fast. She favored her back leg and didn't move her head that much because it hurt her neck.

Skeil & Ankh

Her fur bristled suddenly as a threatening scent reached her keen nostrils. "The enemies...." she snarled in a deep voice before looking towards Toboe, "Enemies are on our terra, we must defend it! Follow me; and you two be careful." she said to Ankh and Kenyon. The pit bull ran off then, heading for another part of the alley.

Ankh followed dutifully after.
