Psychotic
Psychotic was the daughter of Kahvi and Honey. Not that you could tell that she had coyote in her even though that was the majority of her make up. She looked like the grey wolf and was a womping 190 lbs of it. she had lose track of her pups, even though they were adults not and had not seen her parents in years. She was scrounging through trash cans as she found it easier then trying to hunt on her own.
However; car lights came down the alley way she was in blocking her only escape. The car stop and out stepped a man with a long pole with wire on the end. She growled now her tail stiff and low as the human approached her and soon that thing was around her neck and she struggled as he pulled her toward his vehicle. The dog catcher was intending on relocating her. She snarled and got free but their was a second human who darted her and she yelped and with in minutes she started feeling drozy.
Equiss, Windcaller, & Darkwing
"Over here!" The sharp cry of a falcon echoed through the alleyways, startling a small flock of pigeons foraging below. Darkwing darted forward with quick, powerful flaps of her short wings, angling her body above the ground where Equiss and Windchaser could see her as she led the canine pair towards the much maligned car that the dog catcher drove. "She's a big one! Hit by one of their thorns... yup, she's going down!" Onward the falcon dove, until she alighted on a cable high above the ground near the two humans.
"If she's a big one, you better play decoy." Windcaller whispered to her great grandmother, whom she dwarfed in size.
Equiss slowed as they turned the last corner and came in view of the vehicle and the humans closing in on the woozy Psychotic. "Oh yeah, there's no way I can move her - she's as big as you. Okay, get ready." Weighing in at only ninety-five pounds, and sporting a healthy flush of white across her aging muzzle, the hybrid trotted forward from the shadows and gave a soft woof to catch the humans' attention. She cocked her head in that adorable way that dogs will do, and let her tongue hang from the side of her jaws. To top off her ruse, Equiss wagged her tail in a friendly manner and woofed again, trying to get their attention.
Meanwhile, Windcaller snuck wide around the scene, sticking to the shadows. Carrying the coloration of the doberman, with the same short, sleek fur, it was easier for the big wolfdog to slip by unnoticed. "Psst, hey." Wind crouched behind some nearby rubbish bins and called quietly to the drowzy Psychotic, "Head in my direction, friend."
Psychotic
She stood there still growling at the humans who were waiting for her to go down. But then the woofing of a dog caught their attention and believing her sedated they changed their focus to the other one. Psychotic kept growling Her ears though cocked at the words and even though she wanted to lie down she forced her legs to move in the direction of the voice. She blinked as she kept moving toward it. She be going down with in the next minute.
Equiss, Windcaller, & Darkwing
Once she had the human's attention, Equiss dropped her front end to the ground and left her hindquarters wagging in the air in the play-bow. Her tail continued to sway merrily above her to keep up the friendly act, and hopefully avoid the dart gun coming back into play. "C'mon humans, over here!" The hybrid yipped, her eyes watching the catch pole that they carried. If the humans did start heading in her direction, she'd prance away just out of range and drop into another play bow, leading them on a wild goose chase.
Windcaller was busy doing just the opposite; keeping her voice low and her body tense and ready to dart away should the humans turn their attention back her way. "Shhhh, hush your growls!" She urged the wobbly Psychotic, "Keep quiet, keep moving my way... there you go." Windcaller began to back down a nearby alley, trying to lead the silvery coated stranger between the two buildings. "Just a little further, we can hide you in this trash." A cluster of trashbags, loose newspapers, and cardboard boxes would hopefully help conceal her from the two-leggers.
Psychotic
Psychotic kept moving in the strangers direction her growls seasing She blinks again and just as she gts to the trash she goes down. she blinks a few more times before she is asleep.
The humans kept following one of them crouching down and holding out her hand.
Equiss, Windcaller, & Darkwing
Windcaller drew closer to Psychotic as her paces slowed and grew more fumbling. "That's it, just a little further..." The big hybrid continued to coax, until at last Psychotic could go no further, and collapsed into the rubbish. Wind moved in, closing the gap between herself and the hybrid as she spoke her hushed tones, "You should be safe here, friend. I'll be near when you wake up." Before Psychotic even fell into slumber, Wind was scrambling over the pile of trash, pawing and nosing what bits of paper and lighter bags she could to cover up the other's body.
Equiss, meanwhile, continued her game with the humans. She woofed at them again, keeping her tones light and friendly while her tail went about its merry way, swaying from side to side. She lingered long enough to let the humans get close to her, and even sniffed the woman's hand before shying away and retreating a few more yards. Then she began the whole routine again, playbowing and yipping. Equiss would lure them on for as long as she could, until either the humans gave up, or they brought out the dart gun or noose pole.
*Humans* Psychotic
Psychotic heard her but could not respond as she fell into a deep slumber.
The women kept doing moving slowly closer and offering her hand. The other one tried to creep even closer and then attempted to use the catch pole
Equiss, Windcaller, & Darkwing
Equiss kept an eye on that catch-pole while continuing to play nice with the humans. As soon as that man started creeping forward though, his shifty movements were the signal she needed to know this game was at its end. With a final woof, the little hybrid turned tail and dashed up the street, then disappeared down another alleyway.
Back in a different side alley, Windcaller finished covering Psychotic with rubbish. Pleased at her work, the large mongrel sauntered behind a large trashbin and crouched down, using her keen hearing to listen for the humans. If they came her way, she'd do her best to lead them away from this alley.
*Humans*
They frowned but decided not to waist their energy and went back to where they thought that wolf mix shouldo f been and then frowned. They looked around for a little before sighing. The tranq should wear off within the next 30 minutes so they just left.
Psychotic body was already pushing the tranq away
Equiss, Windcaller, & Darkwing
Windcaller remained perfectly still, head rested down on her forepaws while her glossy black ears stood tall and alert. She couldn't see the humans from her hiding point, but she could hear them as they shuffled along the roadway in a fruitless attempt to find their quarry. Eventually, she heard their steps carry back to their vehicle, and after it rumbled to life and then faded into the distance, the big wolfdog rose up and sauntered back to the trash pile.
"You awake?" She woofed lightly, starting to paw away some of the cardboard and bags that she'd shoveled onto the stranger.
Equiss was beginning to make her way back to the scene as well, with Darkwing flitting from one awning to the next as she scouted for danger from above.
Psychotic
Psychotic was slowly coming too. Her ears twitch at the words.YesShe mumbled. Slowly she scootched herself into a sitting position the trash falling away.
Equiss, Windcaller, & Darkwing
"That was a close one." Equiss panted as she made it down the alley and approached Windcaller, stepping over a crumpled can and a broken glass bottle to reach her packmate. "Are they coming around?"
Windcaller swished her tail briefly and nodded, "She is now." The large mongrel looked back to Psychotic then, as the equally large canine was slowly picking herself up and struggling through the fog of sedation. "Easy now, take it slowly friend." Windcaller took a few steps back to give her space, having never seen another canine quiet as big as herself before. "Take a moment to get your wits about you, okay?"
Psychotic
She sat there now as her eyes slowly began to focus and the ability to move everything returned. She yawns showing her teeth. She blinks as she focus's on the ones near by.thank youShe said.
Equiss, Windcaller, & Darkwing
Equiss sits down a few feet away, allowing Windcaller to handle most of the interaction now. "You're quiet welcome, friend. And quiet lucky." Wind responds, shaking her head a bit at she considered how badly that all could have gone down. "You should stay here and rest for a few minutes at least. Those thorns of theirs pack a nasty poison, and it'll leave your head feeling pretty drowsy for a bit." The big hybrid eased down herself, content to stick around and make sure the stranger was okay. Her eyes did rove to the impressive teeth that Psychotic displayed in her yawn, and after a moment of quiet debate, she spoke again to address the wolf, "Can I ask your name? I'm Windcaller, and this is Equiss."
Psychotic
Psychotic nodded as she sat downPsychotic Daughter of Kahvi and HoneyShe said. No one would probably believe that she was 62.5% Coyote and 25% Arctic Wolf and lastly 12.5% Grey wolf. Her size screamed wolf.As well as the fact she looks like the wolf. with dark yellow eyes.
Equiss, Windcaller, & Darkwing
Windcaller smilled, patting her long, scrubby tail against the ground where she sat. She had no idea that Psychotic was a distant cousin of hers, and barely reflected any physical resemblance other than her large size. "Well Psychotic, I'm glad you're okay. We can stick around for a while until you feel fully recovered, if you'd like."
"Or-" Equiss began, butter-yellow eyes blinking towards Psychotic, "If you've no home, you're welcome to come with us to our den. So long as our alpha, Gwen, is okay with it." A canine as large as Psychotic would be a great boon to the Lurkers she figured, and with half of their members receding into old age, they needed new blood in their ranks.
Psychotic
Psychotic sat there and soon shook herslef out.I have no home, my family, I don't know where they areShe said.
Equiss, Windcaller, & Darkwing
Equiss gave her tail a friendly wag, "As I said, you're more than welcome to travel with us. And if you give us a description of your family, Darkwing can at least keep an eye out for them." She shared a look with her great-granddaughter, and never once picked up the distant connection between the pair.
Windcaller returned the look before smiling gently at Psychotic, "You're home could be with the Lurkers, if you're willing to abide by a few simple rules we have. It'd offer you greater protection against the humans here, and guaranteed food."
Psychotic
She listened.I could that, I can tell you that their mostly coyote in blood despite my appearance im actually mostly coyoteShe said. I will join you for now at leastShe said
Equiss, Windcaller, & Darkwing
"Coyote?" Equiss questioned in surprised, now looking at their new friend in curiosity. "You've definitely taken more after your wolf blood it would seem. Certainly in size at least." She laughed lightly at this, being half the size of this new hybrid. "I'll let Darkwing know to-"
"Heard it." From above, the falcon whistled down, "Coyodogs, got it. Haven't seen many recently, but I'll let mom know to keep an eye out too."
Windcaller picked up the conversation there, with a nod Darkwing before she began to pace out of the alleyway. "For now then, lets head back to the Den. Come Psychotic, we'll show you the rest of the pack, and where you'll be safe from human eyes."
