Rexina

Slow careful steps into the space between the den's of the two-legeds. White paws made gray by dirt and grime, hurting from Rexina's long journey. So far she'd been chased, no luck at all. This was the first place she'd not been run off from as soon as she stepped in. She wasn't looking for territory to take over, at least not now. For now, all she wanted was food and rest. This was of course the only good thing about the betweens of the two-legeds' dens, it usually contained round things with food in it, mixed with some of their useless and broken trinkets. Perhaps she'd finaly get lucky and run into a caretaker of the two-leged.. A small rat-dog perhaps.. Her mouth watered...

Orelia

She could not sit in that den anymore, with nothing to do but relive old memories, and reopen old wounds in her mind. The deaths of her mate and grandson sat heavily on her heart, and while others could busy themselves to take their minds off the pain, she was relegated to sitting and thinking. Of course her dear family would check up on her, make sure she was ok, especially since she had been wounded badly in the ambush they had suffered, but they would leave her again, and once more she would only have her memories for company.

So, when most had been too busy to notice, she had subtly left the den, and had wandered the alleys, needing space and time to try and take her mind off of the past. Her sides were sore, the cuts from the lion's claws slowly healing, but still painful. It was about an hour into her wanderings when she came across Rexina's scent, and she followed, curious as to what this lone wolf was doing so far away from the wild lands. When she caught up with the wolfess, she remained quite far away when she barked a greeting to announce her presence, accompanied by a small tail wag to show she meant no harm. The elderly dog was clearly an easy target, but there was a warmth about her that showed she was a caring gentle creature, and a feral quality that showed she was no pet to the humans.

"Are you okay? Lost?"

Her chocolatey brown coat was greying, but still had a shine to show she was relatively healthy, even if she had been injured. It may have been foolish to wander into the path of a young, fit wolf, but Orelia was not perhaps in the best of minds, always wanting to believe the best in others, and plus, it was too late now to turn back.

Rexina

She was not snuck upon, the other made her presence clear as the freshest water. It was, somewhat disapointingly, not food. Rexina was wary, or was it weary? Perhaps both. She could smell others on the other, but not others that were here. The other seemed friendly, though that could be an act. Though, she was injured.. If Rexina had been there for a fight, she was sure she would've won. This one came from a pack, though, which made her safe from Rexina for two reasons; Rexina wanted somewhere to rest and joining a pack made that happen, instead of being chased away. The other reason was that Rexina did not want the mate or packmembers of the other to come after her for avenge.
"I'll survive. I'm not lost exactly, just.. skimming around. This your territory?"
She had her ears bak in submission, but not as far back as agressive, she also made sure to keep her head lower than the other, and her tail down. But she spoke neautrally, no need to overdo it, right? Rexina was being totally submissive to the other, hoping this was no game or ploy. She was also ready to run or fight, if it proved necessary.

Orelia

Rexina was tired and hungry, that much was obvious to Orelia as she got a good look at the wolf. Why else would she be here, in the alleyways of a human city alone?

"My territory? It's the territory of my pack, but I am not the alpha. We are the Shadow Lurkers. If you are looking for food and a home, then I can take you to my grandson and he may offer that you can join us?"

The submission of the other was not necessary to Orelia, although she noted it and was pleased, because there were a few in her pack, her nephew being one of them, who would look upon it favourably. The elderly Orelia however did not need such shows of submission, as long as they intended no harm, she was welcoming to most. It was then that she remembered she hadn't introduced herself. Considering this female seem apprehensive, she thought it would show her sincerity to give her name.

"My name is Orelia, friend, and you are?"

Rexina

So this other was not the alpha, well, that spoke well for her pack, as someone elderly and injured usually made poor alphas and were challenged by the more abled, younger ones. Taken to her nephew, then she at least had bloodties to the alpha, which Rexina thought would raise her chances of getting accepted, since she was invited by a blood relative to the alpha. Or not, either way, why not try? Orelia, well, that sounded.. like a name, supposedly..
"I'm Rexina, not rex, not Rexie, Rexina. I'd love to meet your nephew."
She could go along, meet this nephew, if it didn't work out, she could run for it. At least Orelia wouldn't be able to keep up. Probably..

Orelia

Orelia nodded, her tail wagging gently as Rexina accepted her invitation.

"Ok, Rexina, I'll take you to him right away. His name is Argolis."

It was then that she turned and made her way as briskly back to the den as she could, but the pace would not be very fast due to her age and injured state.
