Harbringer

Harbringer wasn't much for the city life, and she hated humans for killing her sister and hurting her family, but she knew this mission was important to Tanya. They had to get a pup back that was rightfully theirs, so she would put her distaste for humans aside and brave the city to speak with the Lurkers. The ebony hybrid stuck to the shadows as much as she could, and darted like a mouse from one building to the next, trying her best not to stay out in the open or be spotted by humans. It took her some time to actually navigate through the confusing twists and turns of the back alleyways, but finally, she managed to hunt down the Lurker's familiar scent and locate their Den.

Her body was tense, and she kept her tail and head low as she padded up towards the old, run-down building. How would the Lurkers react to their request...? Once she was close to the building, Harbringer stopped and glanced back, making sure Tanya was still with her, before she gave a quick, short little bark to call attention to herself and hopefully draw a Lurker or two forward to speak with.

Ninaki

With a mild limp, the aging beta padded out from the Aegis Den, slipping past the old metal doors that were left partially open and rusted in place. He kept his head held relatively high to wordlessly state his authority as the pack's second in command, even though he was finding himself to be less able to keep up with his duties of late, and wasn't sure how much longer he would be holding this rank.

"Greetings." A single, decisive sniff told him that this black hybrid was from the Silver Glades pack, and thus a friend of the Lurkers. However, he noted that she looked a bit anxious for some reason or another, which made him a little leery. Did she have bad news to bring them, or was she just uncertain about being here? "You are related to Aaka, aren't you?"

Tanya

Tanya followed after Harbringer. Her whole pelt bristled as they traveled through the alley, feeling her own disdain at the humans. For a moment worry overtook her. What if they said no? She sat down once Harbringer stopped, and let loose a bark. At the sight of the older wolf, she gave a slight bow in hello. For a moment she looked to Har, wondering if she was to speak or her. The question was directed at Har, so if she answered then she could determine wether or not she'd ask for what they wanted from the Lurkers. If not, then Tanya would. Trying to be patient, the wolfess twitched the tip of her tial that layed near her side. Auds were tuned upon the black hybrid, waiting for something to happen. Her auds searched around looking for the wolf or wolfess that would fit the description of her family's offspring. Fear coursed through her, for she hoped the father wouldn't prove a problem. To hell with it, she'd fight him, the wolf was her niece or nephew, she had rights too.

Harbringer

Harbringer dipped her head in a greeting as Tanya did, and seeing that Ninaki was carrying himself high, she submissively kept her body low while talking with him. "My name is Harbringer, Sir. Yes, I am Aaka's granddaughter, and this is one of my packmates, Tanya." The hybrid swallowed, feeling nervousness creep through her again, but she fought it off and strove for a more diplomatic tone. "We believe there is a pup being kept here that belongs with us at the Silver Glades...." Because she didn't know the full story, Harbringer took this time to trail off in her explanation, and darted a look to Tanya, hoping that the wolf could fill Ninaki in on the rest of it.

Tanya

Tanya spoke quickly when Har finished. Her voice neutral, not sure how the older brute would react to this news.

"The pup is daughter of Shena and...Razorblade. He is rightfully ours. We wish to have him." She waited for a rely, respectfully keeping herself lowered as well as Har.

Auri

As the young coywolf waited for the return of Lyckos - to ask for acceptance into the pack - she wandered the Alleys. It was as she was passing the group that she heard Har and Tanya. They wanted Razorblade's child. Her big brother was one of the few whom she could still trust, and she had become quite close with her nephew, Vagabond. The little guy was blind, and he had asked Auri to be his eyes. She gladly helped him 'see' with the use of her intricate descriptions of the places they went. She needed Vagabond, and she was sure the pup needed her too.

"Not Vagabond..." She said in disbelief. "Please don't take my nephew from me." There was a soft whimper in her voice, and then she decided she had better be quiet and let Ninaki address the strangers.

Ninaki

At first, the old hybrid thought of Dawn, the adopted daughter that Bullet was tending to like one of his own. If it had been Dawn that they were after, the beta would have immediately denied their request, as softly as he could. Bullet needed her as much as she needed a supportive parent, and he wasn't going to see that broken. But Vagabond...? He was tempted to go seek out Lyckos, and arrange to have the young one returned to the Silver Glades if their leader agreed, but this plan was halted when Auri showed up.

He studied the coywolf briefly and considered the tones in her voice. Then he looked back to Tanya and Har, "Vagabond has been with us for some time, long enough to develop a strong relationship with this pack. I don't think it would be good for him or us to take him away now. I'm sorry, but he must stay here." Because these were allies that he was dealing with, the beta was polite in his reply, but firm enough to let them know he wasn't going to be dissuaded from his decision.

Tanya

Tanya listened and watched silently. She ignored Auri, knowing she wouldn't be able to say or do anything to make the wolfess feel better. She spoke after Ninaki trying to hide how upset she was as she said what she had to say.

"Yes, but we just found out he was here. If we had known sooner, we would of came immedietly. Besides, he would of been at Silver Glades if Shena hadn't been kidnapped. She lives there, which is where her pups would of lived. He is rightfully ours. If we had a Lurker pup, you would of came for him or her surely..?"She trailed off looking to Har to see what the older wolf would say. Her voice had been kind as well, even slightly pleading. She wasn't ashamed either, this was about her family. This wasn't over, not by a long shot even if he said no. Tanya would find a way, she'd just have to make sure it was the right way so they'd remain allies. Either way she wanted her nephew. Slightly anxious, she waited to see if she'd have to get him the easy or hard way. Still she refused to meet Auri's gaze.

Auri

Auri was quick to respond to Tanya. How dare they try to take her nephew from her! "He is my family, and besides that, he has been here his whole life." She replied with venom in her voice and fire in her eyes. "I think he should get a say in this instead of ripping him away from the only family he's ever known. He asked me to be his eyes - my nephew trusts and loves me well enough to help him see." She was obviously upset, and she was even on the verge of crying. "Would you really take him away from the only family he's ever known? I'm sure you can visit him, but this is his home." Her fiery gaze bored into Tanya. "And if one of the Lurkers stayed with you since birth, we wouldn't be heartless enough to tear him away from you. You must ask yourself - is this right for him, or are you serving your own needs and wishes?"

Ninaki

Emotions among the females were high, and as a parent, he could understand the need to have a youngster returned to their rightful family. On one hand, Tanya did have a good point, but on the other, Auri had just as good of reasons to want her nephew to stay here. "Easy, Auri." With soft authority and a stern but gentle gaze, the beta reminded the coyodog to stay in line. "This is a delicate issue, but I'm afraid I must still stand by my words. However, if you'd like to talk with Vagabond we can see what his feelings are on this issue." Until Lyckos was available to handle the situation, Ninaki knew the burden would remain on his shoulder, and since he was dealing with allies here, he had to be very cautious about how he progressed with this problem. "Ultimately, it will be up to him and Lyckos to decide what happens."

Tanya

Tanya ignored Auri, she had to or else she would of started arguing with the canine. She listened to Ninaki words, her ears pricking. "Of course. I mean, please?" Tanya was trying to still be polite in her excitement of possibly meeting her newphew. Vagabond, please come back home. She wondered if he would remember his mother, could tell her how she was. Tanya waited, honestly just wanting to leave with Har and Vagabond, but she knew it wouldn't happen. She'd have to wait, and even see if Vagabond or Lyckos would allow it. Her tail wagged, as she smiled waiting for Ninaki to confirm it was alright for her to speak to her nephew. However, she wondered if Tanya and Har would be able to speak to him alone. She couldn't help but think he might lie to comfort the two lurkers. After all she had to think of all possiblities. She glanced to Har to see how her fellow packmate was handling this....Tanya wanted her family with her so bad, she would even talk to Rein about Auri becomming a member. She knew it wouldn't work though, Auri seemed like the kind of wolf that wouldn't leave. Then again, she wouldn't give up, not until she did her best at trying to get her nephew, Vagabond, back.

Auri

Auri was getting angry. She had taken in Vagabond as a son, and now this heartless bitch wanted to tear him away from her? Auri, in a way she had never done before, did a warning snap at Tanya. "STOP IGNORING ME, BITCH!" It was an outburst that was rare for her - she figured it was Saydin's dirty blood. The coywolf positioned herself between Tanya and Ninaki in hopes that Tanya would finally get the idea that she was being spoken to. "Vagabond chose ME and ME alone! You are not to take him from me, understand? If you care so much about him, you wouldn't tear him away from the only family he knows." With a deep breath, she attempted to calm herself down, but it barely worked. "Here's an idea, instead of taking a blind pup away from his caretaker and seeing-eyes, why don't you get off of your asses and come visit his home? His real home."

"Auri." The voice belonged to Kobalt, Auri's brother. He had only seen her this way once before, and that was when Saydin killed Kahvi. Her father was taken from her, and her adopted son was about to be taken away too. "Calm down, Auri. We can work things out." Kobalt stepped up to the group, facing Tanya. "I apologize for Auri's behavior. She has become so attached to Vagabond, and the stress of our mother on our tails isn't doing any good either." He paused, making sure Auri was staying calm. "Since my sister won't give up her nephew - or adopted son, more like, perhaps we can make an arrangement. She's had so much happen to her, and this is all she has to live for." He kept a cool demeanor, but there was a hint of sorrow in his voice. "Don't make her like Aurinka. Don't make her so depressed."

Ninaki

If only Tanya weren't an ally of theirs, Ninaki wouldn't have to mind his own manners so much, but the Silver Glades had always been and still were their greatest allies, and ones that he couldn't afford to hurt their ties with. "Auri, let me handle this. Stand down." The beta spoke gently and firmly again to the younger canine, trying to preserve what he could of a civil conversation between them all. But because Auri was one of the younger members of the group, even if she wasn't by any means a pup, the aging beta couldn't bring a snarl to his words or the usual warning bite he would have given anyone else. He stepped forward again, trying to place himself slightly in head of his packmate, in a protective and assertive way. "We can talk about possible arrangements, that is a good idea Kobalt. But the final decision will come down to Vagabond himself, and ultimately, with Lyckos' decision." And to answer Tanya, Ninaki briefly nodded his muzzle, "Yes, you may speak to him if you wish." And so saying, Ninaki issued a short howl, keeping it low and brief so as not to wake every human within several blocks of them.

Tanya

Tanya had to hold her words in when Auri spoke. She was tempted to tell her she'd take her nephew away if she wanted. The other bitch wasn't her boss. However, her face showed no change of politeness as she looked to the fea speaking quietly. "You say that you are the only family he has known. That isn't true. For a month he has lived in Saydin's hell hold with his mother and siblings. They will come to Silver Glades as soon as they are rescued, and yet they are family he has known too. I would much like to speak to him, and hear where he wishes to live." She wasn't really trying to be mean, but speaking only the truth. And if the truth helped her get her nephew back to his right home, then so be it. A glance was given to Kobalt, and she simply nodded her head, making no comment on his words. She gave no promise, not until she spoke to her nephew. Ninaki's lyrics hit her auds, and she turned to look at him. After he finished howling for Vagabond, her own soft lyrics hit the air once again. "Thank you." Now the only question was, would he come?

Lyckos

Lyckos had been notified by one of the raptors that allies had crossed the borders. Of course, he was not worried that they were a threat, far from it, but often the arrival of allies meant news or requests. Although he knew Ninaki was there dealing with the issue, Lyckos crossed the borders himself, returning from the Prairie after hunting, and an encounter with Hydras, which had left him confused, hurt, and emotionally drained. With a slightly bloodied muzzle from hunting, the sight of the large dane-mix would be intimidating, to say the least, to any whom had not previously met him. The once jovial, kind and carefree pack member of the Lurkers who had joined the group only a few years ago had grown to become a hardened war-veteran, no stranger to loss and pain, and although the old Lyckos still dwelled within the stoic alpha, all the events in Lyckos’ life had lead to him forming an outer shell, much like Hydras used to have. Hydras...

He approached them from behind Harbringer and Tanya, the brindle giant the picture of dominance and authority, without outwardly displaying his title. There would be no need to; it would be obvious who he was. The towering alpha circled his allies to stand beside his aging beta, brushing briefly against him to show their unity and his respect for one of his closest friends. “What’s going on here? A visit from our allies is a welcome one, how can I help you?

Harbringer

Where the slender-build and small bodied Harbringer had to use a good deal of posture to let her status be known and enforced, Lyckos had very little need for it. His size alone carried a certain factor of intimidation with it, and it was backed up with the self-confidence and assumed authority that any good leader carried with them. Without ever having to bear a fang or puff himself up, Lyckos's approach to the group was met by a marked change in Harbringer's body language. She'd been standing idly but in a respectful pose next to Tanya up until now, letting her packmate do most of the talking with the others, but now her head went down a notch or two further, along with her ebony tail.

She had only seen Lyckos a few times, and had never had the chance to formally speak with him, but she knew precisely who he was and didn't dilly-dally in showing her respect to the Lurker King. "Lyckos, Sir, we've come in the hopes of speaking with Vagabond. It's our desire to see him back with his rightful family."

Auri

Auri knew she had better calm down with Lyckos here. She hated Tanya with a passion, but she probably shouldn't show it. Vagabond was hers, and nobody would take him from her. He chose her, even to the point of asking her to be his eyes. How was she going to be his eyes if somebody took him from her?

"I am his rightful family. My brother, his father, brought him to me so I could take proper care of him." She stated, trying to remain calm and refrain from calling them dirty names. "He chose me, and I can almost guarantee you that he's not going to want to leave me."

Kobalt would have liked to stay out of this, but honestly, he didn't want to see his sister so depressed and hopeless. Still, he didn't want to argue. "We should ask Vagabond where he wants to go, and his word will be the final one." Kobalt tended to be more of a diplomat. The coywolf was over three feet tall and weighed 140 pounds and could probably do well in a fight, but nevertheless, he chose to be a peacekeeper just for this moment.

Tanya

Sensing someone approaching from behind she turned to see the alpha, Lyckos approaching in all of his glory. Looking to Har who had lowered herself, she did the same, till she was just a little lower than her pack member's head and tail. His words came through loud and clear. Tanya allowed Harbringer to speak first, she was the one leading this visit anyways, it had simply been Tanya's request.

(“What’s going on here? A visit from our allies is a welcome one, how can I help you?”)

("Lyckos, Sir, we've come in the hopes of speaking with Vagabond. It's our desire to see him back with his rightful family.") She didn't have to wait for long, for Har's voice wasn't too far long from when Lyckos asked what they wanted.

"Please, sir Lyckos. We only wish for our family to be whole again." Tanya choose this moment to speak, still keeping her ears pricked listening for the approach of her blind newphew. Would he come?

("I am his rightful family. My brother, his father, brought him to me so I could take proper care of him."He chose me, and I can almost guarantee you that he's not going to want to leave me.")

Tanya had to keep from opening her mouth. Razorblade, the other male who bred his mother at Saydin's request. The male who took no interest in his children till the day he left. The male who took Vagabond here, away from his trute family. All of this she had to hold in, even though she wished to scream it out. She just hoped Razorblade didn't show up. Tanya would like nothing more than to kill anyone that had helped kept her sister prisoner. Razorblade had been one of them, no matter how you looked at it.

("We should ask Vagabond where he wants to go, and his word will be the final one." ) Who gave you the right to make that judgement boy she wanted to spit at them. Again, however she had to refrain herself from doing so. Her emotions never changed to show what she was holding back. Instead she looked to Lyckos and Ninaki waiting for one of them to speak. All that she showed upon her face was how anxious and worried she was. Now all she could do was worry.

Razorblade

This is his true family. The voice was spoken in a low growl, coming from behind Tanya and Harbringer. He was built like his mother, but taller. Long legs, sleek build. Combination of Kahvi and Saydin. And he didn't look happy. His tail was stiff, his body held at a position that spoke of nothing but rage. Vagabond will remain here with his father. He would have grown up with Saydin if I hadn't taken him with me. Would you have liked that? To have Saydin manipulate him, control him? He paused for a moment, mulled something over. When he spoke next, his voice was soft. No... He'd be dead right now. Saydin refuses to have any sign of weakness from her family line... He glared at Tanya. What were you going to do, Tanya? Ambush the Sedge Creek Pack? Reallly? Do you honestly think that would have worked? Saydin wouldn't have let you take her. Ever. You and I both know that. Saydin would have killed Shena before you got her back. Something about this male wasn't quite right. Maybe it was the way he held himself, or the bitch's blood that ran through his veins. Maybe it was the way his eyes followed every single move that everyone here made. Nobody is taking my son away from me. Ever.

Auri

Auri was caught off-guard by a familiar voice, but she welcomed it happily. A low, growly voice, and it could only belong to her big brother, Razorblade. Auri was just a tiny bit larger than Razorblade, but he was surely stronger than the young female. Auri looked exactly like her late grandmother, Aurinka, which occasionally turned heads around here. She had never met Grandma, but she had heard enough about her to feel like she was her, even though her blood was more of Saydin than Aurinka. But she was nothing like Saydin at all. She was the loving, caring kind, and she tried her best to never hurt anybody.
Auri was quite happy that Razorblade was here to save the day. With him to set things straight, she held a more confident (yet not overly dominant) stance. "You would be wise to listen to my brother, Tanya. I had spent little time in my...mother's pack to know that without Razorblade, his son would never be alive." She was braver now. Razorblade seemed like a get-to-the-point kind of guy, which sort of rubbed off on her when he was around. "I am sure my brother accepts your thanks and apologies, and I will send your best wishes to his son, who is staying right here with his true family." She didn't show any extreme facial expressions, but the slightly sarcastic grin could almost be heard in her bitter, mocking words.

For now, Kobalt was going to stay out of this and let his older brother handle the situation. He really would have wished that Auri stayed out of this, but until actual trouble came, he wouldn't stop her. No, she was like her ancestors, always getting involved in things like this and not letting go until she won.

Tanya

Tanya remained patient, even when Razorblade showed up, that is till his words hit her auds. Now she spoke, her lyrics still calm, but not as mannerly to the brujo who she felt was judging her. "My thoughts upon how to get my sister back does not concern you, Razorblade. He is our family too, besides why should only you have the right to him. I say let Vagabond decide. There are many other wolves that are his family by blood too that he has never met or heard of. Besides what's going to happen when Shena gets away from Saydin? I know my sister, she's going to want her children with her and her family. So why not let him decide, its his life?" Now she waited for Lyckos or Ninaki to speak. Either way she was determined not to leave till she got to speak to her nephew. At Auri's words, she spoke to the fea, her voice still calm and polite. "He had survived there with my sister till the day Razorblade took him when he left. Her other pups had survived, excuse me, their other pups are still alive and living there." At her final words, a few of Tanya's hair guards rose, but she made them fall back down with a few licks.

"I'm sure your brother would, if I gave my thanks and apologies. Hopefully you won't have to, I was told I could speak with him, myself." His true family my ass she thought to herself, keeping her face collected as she looked to the two ranked wolves there, refusing to indulge in anymore conversation that was simply turning into some he's mine, you can't have him pity fight.

"We are still permitted to see him right, sir Lyckos? Ninaki said it was possible..sir." Her voice respectful, mannered, and kind once again. It would of stayed that right if for not all the things said by the on lookers. This was exactly what Tanya wanted to avoid. She had only wanted to speak with a ranked wolf, and leave with Vagabond and Harbringer by her side. At the thought of Harbringer she looked to her packmate wondering if she had said anything wrong, or gone over the line, before her gaze turned back to the two ranked wolves here.

Lyckos

His eyes travelled first to Harbringer as she spoke. He remained quiet, passive, obviously interested and taking whatever his ally had to say seriously. His expression did not change with Tanya’s words, although his head did nod ever so slightly in acknowledgement of her words. On the other paw though, Auri’s words were fair. She did not want her nephew to leave, understandably, but Lyckos found himself agreeing with Kobalt. If they wanted Vagabond to go with them, it would be the youngster’s decision. He would not force him either way.

However, things quickly deteriorated as Razorblade showed up. He was understandably angry, but these were their allies, and this situation required everyone to have a level head and a degree of civility. These were not enemies, they were friends. “Razorblade, Auri, calm yourselves. I understand why you are both angry, but Tanya is merely looking out for her family, just as you both are.” His strong words were back up by his head rising ever so slightly, showing her was serious, and if they didn’t adopt a more appropriate position, they would be punished. “Now,” he began, turning back to the group, “the one who has the ultimate word here is Vagabond. He will make his decision, and that will be final.” It was then that the alpha sent up a call to Vagabond. It would be him that chose where he would stay; no one here was to influence his decision.

Vagabond

The teenage pup moved carefully. He had a general layout of the place, knew where the trash cans were, where the rats liked to hide. He could smell the seedy scent of the city, the pollution in the air. His ears flicked back at the call of Lyckos, and he turned into their direction, moving down the alleys at a slow trot.

The blind male was cautious as he neared, the scent of others reaching his nares. Auri had taught him how to be cautious of strangers, for rarely did they bode well. When you were blind, you could not fight. The largest of all his family, he was... useless. He could sense the tension in the air, the anger rolling off his father in waves. Razorblade wasn't what you would call the best father. But the male had taken him away from a home that could quite possibly have killed him. How can I help you, Lyckos? His voice was enough to set a wolf on edge. It was dangerously sweet, almost a purr with the dark edge of insanity. The male had everything to be a good wolf, with good morals. But then again, he had the blood of Saydin in him, the blood of insanity. He was dancing on a dangerous line, a line that wouldn't take much to cross over.

Lyckos

With Vagabond's approach, Lyckos turned to face him. Even though the pup could not see, he could still sense those around him. Besides, it was common courtesy anyway. "Vagabond, your aunt Tanya has come here to speak with you." He did not go any further than that, it was not his business to pry or influence. This was a blood-family matter. So, he caught the eyes of those it did not concern, and indicated they were to move away a little to give the family some space, but would remain here in case the situation deteriorated.

Auri

Auri's eyes gleamed when she heard a familiar voice, so sweet it made her spine tingle. Vagabond was her nephew, but it felt as if he was more like a son. She didn't want to get into any trouble, but she wasn't about to let anybody take him.
"Vagabond." Auri said, trying very hard to keep her anxiety hidden, as he could probably sense it better than others. But of course, the fear was too strong. She walked over to where her nephew was and nuzzled him. He couldn't see, but he could feel. And she was his guide; she had to be there for him. However, she said nothing else. She simply waited for Tanya to speak and for Vagabond to make a choice.

Tanya

The multicolored white fea looked to Lyckos as he spoke. A sign of relief almost came from her, but she held off. All she could do was wait for her nephew to show after the Lurker’s alpha called for Vagabond. The first hint of her blood relative approaching was his smell, and she breathed deeply once to fully take in his scent. She raised her head up higher, not a sign of dominance, but simply impatient to see the brute who was her nephew. The eighty pound wolfess took a eager step forward when she saw the first hint of the black figure appear. There was no need for introduction, she knew this male in front of her was Vagabond. His smell was his own, but it was still similar to her sister’s. A short excited whine escaped her, so soft it might have gone unnoticed. Her chocolate brown orbs rose to meet his ambers, so similar to his father’s, but she refused to see that. Instead she saw them as her uncle’s eyes. So familiar, yet they did not belong to the same wolf. When he spoke, it brought her out of her thinking as she listened to the male ask Lyckos how he could be of help. She longed to open her tan and gray muzzle to tell him who she was, and how she wished for him to come live with her and the rest of his family. The sweet insane tone of his voice seemed to relax her bristling fur. Perhaps because it reminded her so much of her recent behavior. So long gone in her misery of the lost of her sister and brother, not having either one of them there to put her a peace. She needed peace, peace to rest the growing beast inside of her, the beast that loved to cause trouble. Some might think her crazy in the head, but it was only her predator instincts taking complete control of her. Her mind seems to fade away, and she can become a blood thirsty, manipulative fea that loves to cause trouble, even to her own family and friends. A look was barely given to Lyckos, a quick glance, when he spoke, for her eyes were only upon the devil colored male. Taking her cue she took a few steps closer toward the male, making her steps loud, so as to not surprise him if he didn’t realize her approach. She stopped a one or two lengths away, knowing that if she came within touching distance she might overwhelm the teenager. She parted her kissers, letting her smooth voice flow with words.

As Lyckos said, I’m Tanya your aunt. My sister is Shena, your mother… I’ve come to see if you would like to come live with me and the rest of your family members at Silver Glades. They would be quite pleased to meet you, most of us haven’t met one of my sister’s children.

She took a deep breath before she continued, to slow her racing heart knowing that he could decline her offer. It was then that she caught the fear scent coming off of Auri. It caused her to sway slightly upon her paws, as eagerness rushed through her. Her instincts told her to attack the fea, but she held off, knowing that she had to talk to the brute that was her nephew. Blocking off the smell of fear, she had to resist the urge to glare at the fea. She was really starting to cause her problems. Not to mention the fact that she was one of the problems stopping her from having her nephew with her. Her words continued on, with only a pause between them.

You would be welcomed at Silver Glades as a pack member, a friend, and as family. Perhaps you have that here, but I would still love to have my sister’s son living with us. I couldn’t help but try, and I felt you had the right to have a chance to come live us, to come live with your mother’s family, and with her and your siblings once we rescue them. Vagabond, would you like to come with me and Harbringer?"

Tanya waited with her heart in her throat. She was too stubborn to give up on the hope of getting her family back from Saydin. Just like she was too stubborn to leave things be here. She was determined to have all of her family together with her. It would have been that way had it not of been for Saydin, and her mind choose to blame Razorblade with her as well. She blamed everyone that was a part of Sedge Creek. Tanya even blamed herself, simply for not being there to save her sister when Shena needed her the most. She couldn’t help but wonder if she would blame herself if her sister came home without her son being there? Either way it was up to Vagabond, but she couldn’t help but wish he choose her and the Silver Glades.

Vagabond

The male was taken surprise by very little, as his ears made up for his lack of eyesight. He listened to his aunt carefully, took in every word she was saying calmly, but by the end of her speech, his response was evident. No. Plain and simple. He wasn't going to go live at the Silver Glades. He didn't want to anger his families allies, but at the same time, Tanya wasn't seeing this from his point of view. He had lived at the alleys nearly his whole life. He couldn't just... Leave. I will come with you to visit my family, but I cannot stay. The silver glades is not my home. Not like here is. He could sense the fear coming of Auri in waves, and as much as he wanted to comfort her, he moved naught. He also could hear the stubburness in Tanya's voice, and knew that she would never give up until he went to live at the Glades with her. Perhaps for now, just visiting was for the best.

Lyckos & Dawn

"Then it is settled," Lyckos said quietly, but firmly, "It is Vagabond's wish to remain here, and we will all honour it. I'm sorry Tanya, but as the alpha of the Shadow Lurkers, Vagabond is, and wishes to remain, a part of our family, and so he shall continue to be."

She had heard Lyckos call for him, and had followed his scent all the way to where the group stood. She approached cautiously, with a grace and elegance that was almost unmatchable, a trait she must have picked up from her mother. Dawn, the doberman wolf hybrid, daughter of Sasha and Valian, walked past her alpha to stand in the circle which centred on Vagabond. Her pretty face fell as she sensed the scent of blood-family in Tanya and Vagabond, and although she caught his words that he would not leave, she couldn't help but be afraid that if he visited them, he would find a reason to stay at the Silver Glades. Without her. Of all the Lurkers, she considered Vagabond as one of her closest friends. They had grown up together, both taken from the clutches of Saydin in the hope they would not be corrupted by the evil in their blood. So far, the only trait of Valian she possessed was his black fluffy coat, with a small tan patch on her chest where his white was. Everything else was a combination of the Lurkers, but principally Bullet, Razorblade and Vagabond. She couldn't bare to lose one of them.

"Vagabond?" she said quietly, her sweet voice twisted in uncertainty and fear. Her ears were back, her head down, afraid of what was happening. She couldn't lose him. Yes, he had said he wouldn't go, but Tanya did not look like she would just give up, and if he went with them, they might not let him come back.

Auri

Auri felt as if time stopped while she was waiting for her nephew's answer. Would he go with Tanya to a bunch of strangers, or would he stay with the family he knew? It was almost painful. As much as she wanted to step in and tell Tanya off, tell her that she had no business here, she kept from doing so. That would surely lead to trouble. There was an audible sigh of relief when Vagabond answered; she had been holding her breath the whole time. She gave an unemotional glance at Tanya. "There is your answer, Tanya." Auri had a stern tone to her voice; she wanted to make it known to Tanya that she had no power here. "Vagabond has chosen to stay with his family." Like Dawn, though, she had the fear that Tanya would not give up and continue trying to rip the young hybrid from the only family he ever knew.

Tanya

Tanya at first was hurt by his answer, but she hid it well. At his next words, her ears pricked up as she smiled. He would at least visit, and that was enough, for now she told herself. Her eyes looked to Lyckos when he spoke thankful that she didn't have to speak right away.
"I understand, sir Lyckos. Vagabond I know my siblings and their children would be happy to meet you." She spoke being polite to the older canine. She was turning to look back at Vagabond when another wolf appeared. This one a female teenager. She resisted the urge to ask if this was some all to come meeting. If she had her way, this whole meeting would of been her, Harbringer, Lyckos, and Vagabond. When Auri spoke she ignored the other wolfess completely, not even giving a glance to her. In her own way she was showing that Auri had no power over her, even if she didn't have power here. "Vagabond would you like to meet them now, or should I come back another day?" Her words were for Auri's ears as much as Vagabond's. While he might not have chosen to stay with them, he had also chosen to visit his other family, and that was enough for her, for now. Perhaps she didn't understand from his view as much as she should, but from her view he was family. All she had known was that family stuck together, and she wasn't about to change he ways just yet. She had a more stubborn mind then that, and this was far from over. For now, she'd hold off, at least till Shena came back to her real home. Except next time, she promised herself, those unwanted would be unwelcomed. She let the thought slip away, never taking her eyes off Vagabond, and her face remaining a happy smile on it, giving none of her thoughts away. A glance was given to Dawn again, wondering what kind of relationship her nephew had with her. She'd welcome Dawn to come along, if only to ease Vagabond's tension, but from the way the others were acting, she shouldn't even bother to ask. She decided to simply see if Vagabond suggested it, or something, she wasn't about to start some useless argument with Auri again. If she did, she might not be able to hold her anger back.
