Aurinka; Tahti

Tahti carried her delirious daughter to the alleys. Aurinka hadn't eaten in days, and, with her poor immune system and thin build, she was coming close to death. Tahti was getting too old and weak to take care of her ailing daughter.

The coyote was submissive as she brought her daughter to her old home. She set the starving coywolf on the ground and waited. Surely the Lurkers would be so arrogant as to deny a young, dying canine a few scraps of food which would save her life.

Patch;; Stormchaser;; Ebony

Patch, just freshly healed from the wound inflicted by a snake, stepped out of the Aegis Den to get some sunshine. Seeing Tahti, he growled at first. But seeing Aurinka, he relaxed. Patch was a bit more considerate about females. The ebony-and-white canine stepped forward, showing he was no threat. "Why have you brought her here?" Patch asked, it was a general question, not a threat.

Stormchaser and Ebony, now strong seven-month-old pups, followed there father. Seeing the intruder, they growled. When they noticed their father wasn't doing anything aggressive, they lowered their poses and evn tucked their tails inbetween their legs. "Who is that?" Ebony whispered, Stormy only batted her sister in the side with a reply.

Tahti; Aurinka

Tahti bowed her head to Patch. She was a new canine since she had changed her goals. She stepped back, showing her submission to the Lurker. "My daughter will die if she does not eat. Please, can you spare a few scraps for her?" She said timidly. By now, she was too weak to hunt for her or her family.

Aurinka lay on the ground, in much worse shape than she wanted to admit. She had always been gaunt and always had to make sure she got enough to eat or she would quickly waste away. "W-where's Desmon?" She asked, her voice fading.

Patch; Stormchaser; Ebony

Patch looked around nervously. Patch pivoted fleeing into a alley, where he had kept a hare. Returning, he dropped it bluntly in front of Tahti. "Its tough, but can satisfy the soul," Patch told them kindly.

Stormy and Ebony looked at Tahti, adoring the coyote. She was pretty, all those colors swirled into one pelt. They kept quiet, watching their father.

Tahti; Aurinka

Tahti smiled crookedly at Patch, bringing the hare to her daughter. She ripped pieces off and fed them to Aurinka, who ate reluctantly.

Tahti then turned back to Patch. "Thank you." She said with a polite smile. "I have one more request - may we stay here until we regain our strength?"

Aurinka looked at a blurry vision of Patch. "Where's Des?" She asked the wolf weakly.

Patch

Patch looked at Aurinka, eyes softening. "Inside, I believe," He answered Aurinka. He then turned to Tahti, smiling softly. "You have inflicted no harm in being here. My pack is returning from a battle, so they might be ridged. Please, come in. I won't let them turn you away without a fight." Patch pushed his daughters towards the entrance of the Aegis Den, turning back to Tahti.

Tahti; Aurinka

Tahti nodded and picked up her daughter. "Lead the way." She said to Patch.

Aurinka gasped when she was lifted up. "I can help the wounded. The healer of the Shadow Haunters taught me some things." She offered.
