riven
So it was that the time for him to leave his mother had arrived. Riven, and his brother, Tyran, had both left their old pack to start their own lives. Whilst Tyran had gone straight in search of a new home, Riven had decided now was a good time to get to know himself better, before he settled down somewhere.
The large wolf hybrid had crossed the valley to the human lands, ending up trekking through the backstreets and alleys which had led him here. Nightfall had come early today, which was a good thing in his view. Riven had taken the colour of his aunt, a silky looking black that helped him blend into the darkness. His haunting yellow eyes penetrated the encroaching black vooid with ease, as he padded through the various alleyways in search of food or shelter.
He could sense a pack here; their scent was too strong to be put down to a simple gathering of canines. He was on alert for confrontation, but didn't want to start a fight on his third day of being away from his mother. Lasota had warned him to be wary around others, after hearing the stories of the notorious packs that fought between themselves in the valley.
His nose suddenly picked up a strong smell of cooked meat, and after following the scent, he found some scraps of beef and small peices of chicken. Delighted, he began to chomp away at them, letting his guard down for a moment or two while he indulged in an evening snack.
Black Feather
Night was not the most favorable time for the falcon, but the dim lights of human settlement allowed him some help in this area. While his mate was taking a well-earned rest, Black Feather was on scouting duty for the Shadow Lurkers.
Circling low over the buildings, it didn't take long for the peregrine to spot a stranger in his domain. Strays and wild wolves were not an uncommon thing, nor entirely unwelcomed - but every new stranger had to be carefully observed to be sure they were of no threat.
After doing a quick sweep of the surrounding alleyways, Black Feather concluded that Riven was alone, and thus his level of 'threat' was greatly reduced. Now for a closer inspection. The falcon alighted on a railing a few feet from Riven and locked onto the hybrid with his wide, dark eyes. "You are in the domain of the Shadow Lurkers. State your name, alliances, and reason for being here."

A voice a short distance away caused the hybrid the drop the remaining lump of chicken, and turn his regal black head to fix his own bright yellow eyes on Black Feather. Slowly, he stood up, and turned to face the falcon with an expression that was less than pleased, considering the bird had just interupted his meal.
"My name is Riven." He began, but after a lengthy pause he realised the bird wasn't about to give up this interrogation, so he continued in a voice that seemed slightly bored. "The only 'alliance' I have is my previous pack, The Ribellarsi Pack of Shimmer Valley. I still have their protection because my mother lives there under the rule of Karitania and Diseased. My reason for being here is simply curiousity. I'm exploring, before I find my new home."
Black Feather
Not hearing any mention of the Haunters, Black Feather saw a window of opportunity opening with this one. "Riven, I am Black Feather." The falcon offered carefully, "The Ribellarsi are in good ties with the Lurkers. If you are seeking a new home, I have a few suggestions." He went on, easing up more now that he was in the presence of an 'ally'. This was a familiar canine, but it was at least one that came from a good source.

IT CALLS MY NAME
Ah, so his pack and the Shadow Lurkers were allies, then? Riven nodded when the falcon offered his name, noting it to memory.
The mention of a new home certainly intrigued him, after all it wasn't very often you were handed a pack on a plate. It would save him a lot of time, searching around, plus there was always time to explore and discover things once he had found a new place to call home. Plus, he hadn't exactly enjoyed being on his own. The first day was fun; a break from being tied down by hierarchy and being able to do whatever he wanted, whenever he wanted. After a while, however, it all got a bit boring and lonely.
Casually sinking to sit upon his powerful haunches, Riven fixed the bird with a curious, but indifferent stare. His didn't want to seem too keen, after all. "A home, eh? I'm listening..."
RIVEN
Black Feather
Black Feather roused his feathers once, in an act of being at ease with this stranger, "There are the Shadow Lurkers, residing here. The Lost Valley Lurkers, who live out in the wild lands." The falcon began, "The Silver Glades are in need of members as well." Black Feather raised his wings and glided down to a box nearer to Riven, "I can take you to the packs, if you wish."

With three homes being offered to him, Riven wasn't quite sure which to choose. He was torn between the Main Lurkers, or their sub-pack at Lost Valley.
"Between the Lost Valley Lurkers and the Shadow Lurkers; which would benefit more from my joining?"
Black Feather
The falcon gave the question some thought, "I'm inclined to say the Lost Valley Lurkers... but I suppose it really comes down to you. Their leader, Ankh, is quite fond of attacking humans - so if you are into that, his pack would suite you. But here, with the Shadow Lurkers, we do not attack humans unless absolutely neccessary." Black Feather informed, beforing adding a quick explanation, "We live too close to the two-leggers to risk aggrivating them."

Riven considered what both packs had to offer; he really didn't mind whether or not he attacked humans, he didn't have any reason to loath or love two-leggers. He was swayed by the fact the falcon thought it best he joined the Lost Valley Lurkers, and so his decision was made.
"The Lost Valley Lurkers it is, my friend. Would you be able to lead the way?"
Black Feather
"Of course." Black Feather offered, with a cordial dip of his two-toned head. "It is not too far from here - just a few miles north." The falcon informed, before taking to the sky in a flurry of wingbeats. He circled high above the Alleys for a moment, taking a scan of the area and ensuring that there were no immediate dangers. This also served to map out the best route to lead Riven through, to avoid as much human-traffic as possible. Once a route was selected, the peregrine glided low enough for Riven to easily see, then headed for Lost Valley.
