Skeil
With a broken leg, Skeil wasn't the best canidate to be patroling for danger. But after hearing what Fanta said, the pit bull was determined to keep a watchout for trouble.
Limping slowly but carefully, the white dog began to make her rounds about the alleyways, making sure all was well.
Windsong
The brute slipped into the alleys, fur freshly cleaned from down by the nearest pond, but his bright ivory fur wasn't covered this time. Unlike the Aspen Grove Territory, Windsong felt more safe here. The alleys were a labyrinth, but he could scent his way around. Seeing Skeil, Windsong noticed her broken leg. Foolish dog. Windsong thought as he slipped unseen into straight alley behind him. He gave a low growl. "Quit the foolish one, are we?"
Skeil
The pit bull stopped in her tracks, fur bristled as she heard the voice and the less than friendly growl that accompanied it. Turning around as quickly as she could with three good legs, Skeil snarled, "Who are you? This is the territory of the Shadow Lurkers." The dog demanded, her body tense and ready for a fight, though she was in poor shape to do much damage to anyone.
Windsong
Windsong smiled. "Does it matter? You can't fight. Don't think I'm a weak pup. I'm not stupid." Windsong replied tartly. "I'm Windsong, nice you meet you too."
Skeil
She wanted to take a step closer to him, to show she wasn't afraid. But that would involve an obvious limp, and she didn't want to reaffirm her weakenss to him, even though he already knew of it. "What's your business here?" The pit bull demanded, shrugging off his other comments and refusing to give out her name.
Windsong
Windsong snorted. "Noooothing." Windsong replied curtly turning and padded closer. "Does it concern you, m'dear?" Windsong chuckled, she would be easy, too easy.
Skeil
The fur along her spine bristled higher, until she had a mowhawk of hair standing up along her back, "It does." She countered hotly, tensing up as he moved quicker. If she didn't have a broken leg, Skeil would have rushed him at this point and attacked. But that was not an option now. "Back off, mongrel!" Skeil warned, dropping her head lower in a defensive posture as she prepared to attack. As tough as she was though, she would be no match against a healthy male who had full use of all his limbs, while she was forced to hobble about.
Windsong
Windsong gave a soft smile. "Testy, aren't we?" Windsong shrugged though, he took a swift lunge for Skeil's scruff. Too easy. If only all the Lurkers were like this. Never the less, he'd bring some new warriors to the Haunters.
Skeil
Oh, if only her leg wasn't broken! She whirl and meet him fang to fang, that brute! "You'll think..." Her sentence was cut short as he lunged. She spun about in an attempt at a counter attack, but was not quick enough to stop him. Windsong had his hold on her scruff, and she lacked the strength and agility to throw him off.
Windsong
Windsong gave a low growl."Nice try." Windsong told her tartly, he began to take her away. His first Shadow Lurker victim, another on his victim list. Windsong was taking Skeil to the breeding grounds....
Skeil
She thrashed about and tried her best to snap at him, but it was all in vain. Despite her efforts, she was forced away.
