ZAHUR

The young Arabian mare trotted through the alleys hurriedly. She was new to the valley, and had taken the wrong turn somewhere, and was chased into the alleys by... Something. Whatever it was, it had frightened her out of her pelt, and now she was taking turns randomly through the maze of the human alleys. The scent of canine reached her nares quite some time ago, and her mind screamed at her to turn back, but she was too sure that whatever had chased her here would still be back there. She was going along at a quick canter, listening intently, auds flickering at every noise. Her heart was racing as she desperatly searched for another way out. She knew there had to be one in here, but soon she came to a dead end-- exactly something she didn't want to find. She snorted, slowing and turning right after. Her eyes glanced upward at the glowing sunset as her mind began to shoot thoughts at her of being torn up and killed by canines, or anything else around here for that matter. Wild as she was, she could never get used to the wildlife preditors. She immedietly started back down the same alleyway, keeping her dial high and eyes wide, showing the whites clearly. Soon enough, it would be dark, and she definitly wanted to be out of here by then, yet she wasn't having much luck at it. Time was running out, for she knew that nightfall was the most dangerous time. To her it was, anyway. Even though she highly doubted it deep on the inside, she had the thoughts of giving a swift kick to the face of anyone that tried to stop her.

Ankh

After more time had been spent from his pups than he had planned, the father was back to retrieve them. It was quickly apparent that something bad had happened; the stench of blood and intruders, though old now, was clearly in the area. As he headed for the Aegis Den though, there was something that distracted his attention.

He could smell it; fear. But what was more interesting was the animal from which the scent came from- horse! It was rare to find an equine wondering around the Alleys, without a human to accompany them. So Ankh, a young father, became curious enough to investigate this phenomenon and put off finding his youngster for a few moments.

Trotting quietly down the alleyways, he soon discovered the endpoint of his investigation; Zahur. He didn't realize at first that she was cornered, so the small, black hybrid sauntered right up to the equine, giving a few short yards a space between himself and her. "What in the world are you doing here? Don't you have masters?" He had spoken to a horse once, but that was in the Prairie. All the others he had seen were with humans; and most of them were traveling in trailers or being ridden on. Although his intentions weren't bad at this point, his posture held keen interest and curiousity, which could be taken as threatening.

Snowy Owl

Following quietly after her mate, Snowy Owl looked upon the horse with eyes that showed more than just interest. The hunter's look was there as well; for she had grown up hunting deer with her father and grandfather. To her, a horse looked very much like a deer, if not a bit larger and more muscled.

Still, she knew just how dangerous hooves could be, and would not foolishly dash in for an attack against such a large adversary. For the moment, she was content to just watch this equine. However, if there were any signs of weakness...
